- Enable Group MMS: In the SMS app settings, select your SIM card and ensure “Single MMS Group Chat” is turned on. [1, 2]
- Turn Off RCS/iMessage: If your contacts use iPhones or other Androids, their phones may default to Apple’s iMessage or modern RCS, which the Kompakt does not support. Ask them to temporarily disable RCS or deregister you from iMessage so their phones default to MMS. [1, 2, 4]
- Start Fresh: Because group thread logs can get “burned” with previous RCS settings, older group chats you were in might not work. Have your friends completely delete their old threads with you and start a brand new group message.
- Check APN Settings: If you still cannot receive group messages or image attachments, carrier APN settings might be interfering. Check the Mudita Support for correct configuration details. [1]
