Yeah I always get the screen protector, case I never know why I buy them, for any phone I ever get I get the case and then take it off lol. I just like phones as they are especially the kompakt. Kompakt to me is such a tank already not really worried about it dropping
I always have an extra in anticipation of the current being damaged. Just received a new one a few days ago - given my carelessness, screen protectors are non negotiable.
My screen protector of course arrived bent and therefore unusable.
I’m sorry about this. Did you ask for a replacement?
No, because the phone, the case and the screen protector arrived all at once, and I was waiting for a reply from support within the 14 days return period, because the battery was the much bigger problem. Since I didn’t receive any further reply in time, I thought it was too late to return it. Besides, the screen protector was probably damaged during shipping. The box/parcel itself was also crushed on one side. But like I said, the much bigger problem is the battery and the dozens of technical issues of the phone, as described on this forum. Not everything can be blamed on sideloaded apps, especially when they are almost never being used.
I think I mentioned this, but when it comes to warranty issues, you have two years. The 14-day return policy only applies to returning a WORKING & FUNCTIONING device when you decided that you don’t like it, for whatever reason.
I’m still waiting on a response about the battery. I’ll get back to you with that & you can decide what you want to do.
@urszula could you please check with your colleague Maciej again. i did opt for a refund but hadn’t received it for WEEKS now, although it was confirmed on 09/22 to arrive within 2-3 days ![]()
@pang840 I will check on this for you ASAP. So sorry for the delay.
Is my Kompakt unususal in that the hotspot auto not in use switch off function doesn’t work? Like when nothing is using the hotspot it should switch off right?
@jambon I just want to make sure I understand your issues correctly:
You’re expecting that the HOT SPOT will turn off automatically when NO DEVICES are connected to it?
If that’s the case, then you should head to your settings & enable the setting that turns off the HOT SPOT when no devices are connected to it.
Hi Urszula,
just to be clear here is a picture of how my phone is set up.
My hotspot does not automatically switch off when it is not connected to any device. It will stay on until I manually switch it off. I have tried this in a forest , anywhere. Its the same.
@jambon I’ve reached out to our team with this because I’m not sure what could be causing this.
@jambon Can you please answer these questions from our team:
These are their questions:
- How long are you waiting for hotspot disconnect
- Is device connected to usb-c power?
- What third party apps are you using - list all apps
- What devices are you connect to and how many (Macbook Pro can be connected to Wifi even when its ‘turned off’)
- Have you tried to exit this screen and enter it again? Maybe screen didn’t refresh
I am not able to send sms messages when I leave my homecountry, and I travel quite a bit. It is becoming a nuisance, that I will have to bring my old Android as well, when I go anywhere.
I do not have any problems receiving sms messages and making phonecalls
@mortenwp I’m troubleshooting this issue with you on this thread:
After uninstalling sideloded apps in the Mudita Center, these apps still exist on my Kompakt. How to really fully uninstall them?
@nyitray What you deleted was the APK file, not the installed application.
Currently, uninstalling an application is not possible with Mudita Center.
the only way to remove a sideloaded app is by using the Android Debug Bridge (ADB), which is a command-line tool that allows a computer to communicate with your phone.
However, are team is looking into ways to make this easier in the future.
This will be wonderful, especially if you can do it with Mudita Center as easily as installing new APKs…
You can also use one of the following to uninstall apps:
My Kompakt has a small crack above the screen. It doesn’t bother until I turn the backlight on, because then the light shines through the crack.
It’s a pity, as I was going to demo the device to a bunch of parents who are looking for a minimal phone for their kids (or themselves). I don’t know what happened, the device didn’t fall or anything, it just came like that out of my pocket.
Any chance this is covered by warranty?
