SMS App Crashing/system app crash since update?

Hello everyone,
I have had received an SMS App error/crash almost every day (sometimes multiple times in one day) and twice the system has crashed since, although I do not recall the exact message. I wanted to see if this is something anyone else has experienced, or if there are any fixes that might be available or tips to try? I only have a few sideloaded apps for work like for team schedules and messaging, podcasts, music streaming, etc. but none relevant to the keyboard/sms or typical phone functionality.

I hope this is fixed alongside the group messaging issues, I don’t want to have to delete ongoing conversations to have the app function as it should

I am using the original SMS app, not any side loaded ones. It still happens regularly, I have deleted almost all of my non-essential text threads, except for group chats I cannot delete because I have no idea way to start them again if needed.

@erekwatson Group messages are not fully supported on Mudita Kompakt. If your number is in a group thread, those messages may come individually, from the person that sent them. Our team is working on the & an update should be available this fall, as per the roadmap:

I understand that, just mentioning that almost all of my long threads of messages in SMS have been deleted and it still crashes. Is the crashing something that is going to be addressed in the next update? Not even worried about group mms right now, just want to be able to send a text without the crash or the need to delete every text thread regularly to keep the phone working. I don’t think that should be required to get the original system SMS app to work.
