Kompakt won't pair with Sony WH-CH250 Headphones

Kompakt won’t pair with Sony WH-CH250 Headphones

Put Headphones in pairing mode, confirmed will pair with other devices.
Opened Connected Devices on Kompakt, Selected Pair new devices, Kompakt sees other devices, but not the headphones.
Restarted both, no change.

Any ideas?

Yes. Sideload Aurora store if you haven’t.

Download Sony Sound Connect and using that you can pair Sony headphones no problem. The same thing applies to Soundcore, Nothing and probably every name brand earphone/headphone manufacturer.

The issue is the bluetooth service has bugs, some headphones can’t connect, some can’t reconnect after disconnecting them.

Using companion app from manufacturer works well and I’ve tried with multiple brands/apps.

@concretebox I’m going to ask our team about your situation. Once they reply, I’ll jump back on.

Thank you. Using the Sony Sound Connect app, the headphones are connected now. Using the Mudita Music app, the playback is normal. However, playback from the AntennaPod app stops a few seconds after the Kompakt lock screen comes up.

Chiming in here, as I’ve tried this with a few brands. Bose app does not work, it requires Google play services. It just quits out entirely and won’t detect headphones/earbuds. The Nothing app works really well, I’m able to perform all the features present with minimal lag. I’ve been looking for information on whether the Sony / Sennheiser apps work, and this thread has let me know that at least the former does.

Using AntennaPod without interuption will require you to turn off the Battery Optimization for it (and possibly even disabling it in Duraspeed). I explained steps for doing this for a different app here:
