File managing not working after the new mudita center update

Im on mac - any ideas?

Whenever I open manage files on the mudita center the app goes blank and stops working

Looks like yet another ā€œsuccessfulā€ update :confused:

Is the previous version still available for download ? The new one is unusable.

The release notes for Mudita Center version 4.0.0 (as soon as they fix the existing issues), seem available as well now:

Maybe it’s an idea to select a couple of beta testers (count me in - Linux) for all platforms, to make sure this doesn’t happen. It seems like two bugs who would have spotted ans could have been fixed before releasing it to the public.

I don’t want to complain, but this doesn’t build up confidence for the release of MuditaOS K 1.5.0, to me at least.

@jugaf Can you a bit more specific? What files are you trying to upload?

This was reported last Friday, right after the release. The team should have fixed it. Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall? The download link on the website shouldn point to the latest update or you can download it from the Github Repo at Releases Ā· mudita/mudita-center Ā· GitHub (check the extension to match your OS).

If the issues isn’t solved please tag @urszula and descibe the issue so she can inform the team behind Mudita Center. I haven’t gotten around install the new verdiin to see if the issues in 4.0.0 have been resolved. According to Github there are still open issues: Issues Ā· mudita/mudita-center Ā· GitHub (yours isn’t mentioned as open or closed).

To be honest, I personally don’t understand why Mudita hasn’t pulled to update, specifically because it appears to auto update from 3.2.0 to 4.0.0 by default. Given the delayed release of Mudita OS K 1.5.0 (which is well motivated) I simply don’t get why they rushed out Mudita Center 4.0.0 with several issues, before making sure it was a stable release.

The current release is 3 days old and tagged as 4.0.0. I just downloaded the macOS version and trying to load an ebook fails immediately. Replacing the control center with 3.2.0, and unplugging the internet cable… grrrr, the ebooks transferred quickly.

I’m having the same problem. The file manager just goes white. My Mudita arrrived yesterday and I really like it so far but I need to be able to download whatsapp to communicate with my family.

I hope this gets fixed quickly.

Is there anything we can do before it is fixed the bug ?

There are several users experiencing problems with the latest release of Mudita Center. Below the best way to report them directly to the development team. In my experience they will respond personally on working days within 24 hours.

To @all : instead of posting, ā€˜I have the same (or a similar) issue’ might I suggest that you report every issue as @urszula described here:

Then your ticket is will be handled and some additional info can be sent along with your issue. They respond quickly, if not the day, then the next working day, in my experience. That way it will be much easier to fix it, compared to a forum filled with ā€˜I have an issue’, ā€˜me too’, ā€˜same here’ which all leads to nothing.

If you can’t open Mudita Center, send a mail to support@mudita.com with as much info (including your OS).

Hi all! New kompakt owner here–any updates on this? Having the same issue and nothing customer support has recommended works (tried everything but a different computer, since I don’t have another one).
