Customer support thread (all questions welcome)

If i had LTE on i wouldnt need to turn on the wifi to check on messenger
LTE off - wifi on just to check messages then off along with the app.

it does. if your carrier supports it, enable wifi calling (disabled by default) and use wifi when you have access to it. it uses less power then your phone using LTE all the time

Hey, I have recieved and set up my Kompakt, all going well. Apart from I cant set up a fingerprint. I have tried different fingers multiple times. It runs through the scanning process but then fails at the end. Saying “Enrolment was not completed”
Is there anything i should try or might i have a faulty unit?

Did you get: “Couldn’t read print, try again?”
If yes, try scanning the edges of the thumb as well.

Also if you have a case try without a case, it kinda blocks the finger during scanning process

Thanks @gezimos it says Enrolement not completed. I have tried moving my finger or thumb around a little , and a lot.

If you haven’t set up your phone fully, I’d try a factory reset. And if it doesn’t work it could be faulty sensor, maybe @urszula can ask the developers for more

Hi!
Why does the battery info on my device show the text More than 2 days left when it is recently charged full while I’ve seen other users (on youtube) showing texts like More than 7 days left? I just have Signal sideloaded and the developer option “Don’t keep activities” enabled. Do you guys get different texts when charged full?

Hi, I’m assuming it’s trying to predict the time left based on how long it took your phone to drop the first 4%, so it’s probably overly sensitive to what you did right after charging.

I’m also having a lot of battery troubles with my device, and mine looks like this:

I use the phone very lightly (it’s not even my main devices) but I struggle to get 2 full days of battery life. Does anyone know if there is a way to see which apps/processes are causing the battery drain? (I realize the hotspot is on during this screenshot, but I only use it very briefly, probably 30 minutes throughout the 2 days of battery life)

I noticed it too, but then it changed to 6 or 7 days. No apps sideloaded yet.

Thank you!
Maybe the device need some cycles to adjust and show a more predictable time left.

Hello, I have a problem with maps. My Mudita’s GPS stopped working :frowning: I was able to find my location once, at the beginning, but now it always shows “GPS unavailable”. I stood for a few minutes in the garden and it didn’t help. I did a factory reset, I tried to zoom in to my location - but still, GPS is unavailable :frowning:

My Mudita Kompakt doesn’t show the clock when I open the app list. Is this a bug or by design?

You mean the clock app (named “Alarm”) or current time at the upper bar? If you mean the icon of clock app, you can check if it’s enabled in the settings menu in “Application layout” (or similar name) tab. There you will find toggle buttons to make app visible or not. You can also enter this app by clicking on time in the main screen.

What happens to the web browser cache and background processes when entering a hyperlink sent via SMS (or a sideloaded communication app)?

I just clicked a hyperlink sent to me via SMS, and it opened the WebView Browser Tester for me to view the site. When I’m done viewing the content, what happens to the browser and the cookies that I always need to accept? Is there any way to delete cookies and the web cache? If I press the back or home button, will the web browser close or run in the background?

@sinnari I meant the current time at the upper bar

It is the same at my kompakt in case you were wondering if its only yours, no clue if it is intentional or not.
