Customer support thread (all questions welcome)

@jared Thank you so much for this picture- I’ll share that with the team. Just to make sure- Did you update your phone to the latest version on MuditaOS K 1.2.0?

I’m picking up this thread again. The question is why the back button, home button, and control center button provide haptic feedback when the screen is locked. It might be worth investigating since this could be what causes the issues with pocket dialing and sudden changes in settings that some users have reported here in the forum.

I just tried it, for me it keeps haptic feedback for around 1 second after I lock the screen and then it stops. No feedback later on until I press the wakey-wakey button or unlock and lock again.

Yes. The same thing happens to me. Right after I lock it, I can also press and get haptic feedback if I, for example, press once on the control center button and once on the home button, or for instance, double press the home button, etc. IE. The phone gives haptic feedback a short while after and/or on a few occasions after I have locked the phone.

Hi, quick thing. How can I display full phone number of a contact?
In my case, when I open SIM-stored contact details it says “niestandardowy …” but the phone number is trimmed as it’d be too long in one line.
Trying to tap the number to just display, calls the contact.
Tapping “More”, I get the same: “Niestandardowy . +48 789 …” and tapping calls.
I can’t copy but I can’t read it, that hurts. ;d

Workarounds exist, but please consider having the phone number displayed in a new line or something…

Another recommendation, regular Android devices have a feature that allows to:

  • display medical info (weight, blood type, persistent health conditions etc.) when the phone is locked,
  • call selected people when the phone is locked.
I don’t care much about the second option personally, but both seem to be a great feat when it comes to allowing others to assist you better when you’re unconscious.
Otherwise, I’ll get back to some old fashioned methods in that regard.

Yeah, as you can tell I’ve been trying to bring order to my contacts…
Made a nice csv, sorted all by last name > first name, brought a prefix in last name when necessary.
Now, say I have a contact with last name “Contoso Kowalski” and first name “Analysis”.
If I start searching thru contacts for all Kowalskis, It doesn’t work. The phone only searches from the beginning of last name and first name so I can find said contact with “Con” or “An” but not with “Kow”.
I might be overthinking a problem I have encountered when trying to make contact list helpful to me (see right away who’s from school, who’s from work etc., and keep it sorted by that and then last name itself).

Edit: I think I’ll work around like this: prefix to the first name, sort by last name, display by first name. Then, if searching by last name, I’ll get it right.
Edit2: Remaining case is when I know no last name and have such a prefix, searching by name won’t work.

@buiosu About the non-standard numbers:
On the device you can’t do that. You would need to move the contact from SIM Card to normal phone memory.
You can also use Mudita Center to manage contacts and read and delete from there.

For some reason my SIM contacts were labeled as ‘non-standard’.
I have crafted a custom CSV based on Google contacts export, and now all my contacts are “other” - but it’s just 4 letters in Polish so now I can at least see full numbers.

@buiosu I will pass this on to the team. Thank you for the feedback.

I am also having an issue with customer service regarding some data error in the delivery address (I assume this happened after my account was migrated to the new store database because my previous order was fine). UPS could not deliver the package after duties, so I had contact with Lukasz and the warehouse team to resolve it. They said they submitted the correct address to UPS - however, UPS never reacted, and my follow-ups to your support were ignored, and then last week UPS destroyed the package. My subsequent mails to your support were ignored. I am really confused here!
The order number was #3000014015.

@pang840 I am so sorry that you are experiencing some issues with UPS. Our records show the package was delivered to Münchenstein on AUG 15th. I will check on this for you & get back with some more info.

Thanks for considering my request. Please check the exact status updates from updates from UPS the day before:

The company or receiver name is incorrect. This will delay delivery. We’re attempting to update this information. / The package is undeliverable and is in the process of being disposed of according to the local guidelines.

It seems that they never updated the receiver data, which Lukasz send them. Also, they didn’t event try to deliver it to the address and just “leave it there” as all customs etc. were paid. It would have been more helpful than throwing it away at their facility.
Very customer-unfriendly from UPS, I haven’t experienced something like that. Especially since Mudita was in contact with them…

@pang840 Yes, I saw all the communication which was done with UPS & the correct info was provided to the right when they asked. We are following up again ASAP. Thank you for your patience.

Did you guys figure out how to label the phone number in CSV so it is something like “mobile” rather than “non-standard” or “other”?

Another thing - when zooming in a photo/image on the phone, I can’t scroll/pan over the photo to the very edge of it - say, if I wanted to see some text that begins at the image border but have to zoom in.

@buiosu Previously, on another thread I shares the format for the import of the .csv file. Users said that it really helped them. Let me know if this is what you are looking for.

So I guess “Phone 1 - Label” set to “Home” might be the solution. I’ll give it a try, thanks!

Is there any update on this… :worried:

Not sure if that already appeared around, when you zoom in a photo, you can’t pan to the very edges of it. In most cases not an issue but still.
