Calendar Recommendations?

I’m someone who relies on a virtual calendar to stay organized in my day-to-day. The Kompakt’s calendar app isn’t quite working for me.

I would like to be able to have a split screen view of the month on top and selected day’s events on bottom like I’m used to seeing on Apple Calendar. In day view, I also don’t like having to scroll through three pages. I’m hoping the calendar app is improved in the next updates or as time goes on.

Which sideloaded calendar apps are people using? I have downloaded a few that unfortunately weren’t able to run without Google services.

How can I download an application? I know that by default it is not possible…

This should help with both questions.

@extati Are you familiar with sideloading?

Hi, I can recommend Proton Calender, the “agenda” tab has a split screen view, with month on the top and day’s events on bottom.

I’ve been using the Etar calendar, and while it does sync via DavX5, it isn’t very readable on a small-screen e-ink display like the Mudita Kompakt. The Mudita Calendar is much clearer but doesn’t (yet) support any syncing. Has anyone has found other sideloaded calendar apps that are better suited that Etar for e-ink devices and can sync (either wired or wirelessly)? Specifically curious about Simple Calendar Pro…

simple calendar pro, is pretty good. its available in the Aurora store for 89p one time payment, no adds or tracking, runs without google play, and can be read offline.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Would you say that it’s easier to see/read in the light mode? Any downsides (in comparison to Etar)?

I’m currently using OneCalendar. It’s not perfect, but it does sync to my Google calendar, which is a plus.
