This looks a lot like the problem described by some people here:
I wonder if people affected by the bug have Voicemail enabled or not. In fact, I have myself no idea if I have it, here in Europe.
@ploum Thanks for mentioning this. Our team is aware of this & they are currently troubleshooting the issue.
Very excited for this update thank you!
My badges are working for voicemail as well as the 1 longpress dial.
I have all the vibrations turned off, but when I received the missed/call voicemail, it vibrated once when the badge appeared. How do I disable this?
Also, when I have the phone on silent my phone still vibrates for texts. How do I turn this off?
I expected “more control over vibrations” to include things like this. I sleep often in the day since I work at night, and the vibrations wake me up.
Meanwhile, does it work for you to put the Kompakt in a different room from where you sleep (as recommended on the Mudita blog), OR do you need to be woken by telephone calls to your Kompakt while you are sleeping?
I use the Mudita as my alarm. I could sleep with it in a different room, but then I would have to buy more Mudita products
. I also find the vibration distracting in general. I like to have my phone to be completely innocuous at times to prevent me from compulsively checking it. For example if I’m reading on it I would like to be able to have the vibrations off as well as sound. When my smartphone was my daily driver I had a lot of “phantom vibrations” causing me to compulsively check, and I am accustomed to having all vibrations off when on silent to prevent this.
That being said I do sometimes take call where I need to be awoken by calls. Or if I’m awake but in bed with my phone, I would want to be able to use my phone without fear of vibrations waking my partner.
So, does this describe what you want your Kompakt to do while you are sleeping?
- Never ring for an incoming call except on certain occasions.
- Never vibrate.
- Wake you with its alarm.
Yes. Right now after the update (which is a slight improvement on vibration control) it still vibrates with texting while on silent. And with the missed call/voicemail badge. It no longer vibrates for a call ring, which is an improvement.
can you change the Bluetooth name? That’s my major security concern. It says “Kompakt” and it won’t allow me to change it.
Currently no. Others have requested this feature in the past, so maybe it will be in an upcoming release.
Actually thanks to @urszula on another 1.6 thread I just found another setting under accessibility to turn off notification vibrations, hoping this will work!!
There are two places that have VIBRATION settings. One is under SOUND & the other one is under ACCESSIBILITY.
Can you please make sure that you have the “Notification Vibrations” disabled?
I’ve passed this on to the team. It didn’t make this update, unfortunately. I don’t have any info about this, yet. Sorry.
Hi, after updating to 1.6, I have a permanent notification on my phone app that won’t go away. It’s just a 2 that won’t go away, no matter how much I try.
They’re aware and are working on it. See: Clearing "push" notification
thank you for answering my question ![]()
I am not yet seeing the update (in the USA). I have gone to software update in settings and refreshed, but it still says that the phone is running 1.5.0 and that software is up to date.
