SMS App Crashing/system app crash since update?

Updated, now SMS Crashes

Please, I’ve been using this as my daily driver for the last few months now. I’m a stay at home parent and depending on SMS for communication. I actually have loved this as my daily but since I’ve updated yesterday I haven’t been able to use the SMS. I’ve tried restarting and factory resetting. Would love a fast solution as I have a few friends in the middle of crisis and I don’t have 24/7 access to the internet now that I use this phone. Thanks!

It crashes if you have long conversations from what I can see.
