What I’m suggesting is you contact your provider and ask why it works for other providers in other countries and not yours.
There seems to be a few quirks in the way USA phones work that we don’t have Europe.

All U.S. cellular carriers have followed voicemail-notification and -access standards in the USA for more than two decades.

Hopefully, programming the ability to recognize a new-voicemail notification from any of the three major American cellular carriers is somewhat as simple as recognizing the Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) codes that they send in ‘hidden’ SMS messages to their customers’ cellphones!
