Need for CSV template file to import contacts

I tried to import my contacts from a csv file (I was using a dumphone until now), but once the file is imported, some information contained within it are missing on the phone. Is it possible to have a template with the appropriate column headers MuditaCenter is expecting? Thanks!

@jeremyarnold Our team has successfully imported contacts with note from CSV as well as from VCard. Can we ask for an example contact? (you can send it in a DM) It can be unsupported content of the message, or CSV prepared by Export Contact Pro is incompatible with Android based phones. I’m attaching an example of supported VCard and CSV for reference of columns.

Thanks, that’s precisely the one I used. So the fields of this file are :

• First Name
• Middle Name,
• Last Name,
• Phonetic First Name,
• Phonetic Middle Name,
• Phonetic Last Name,
• Name Prefix,
• Name Suffix,
• Nickname,
• File As,
• Organization Name,
• Organization Title,
• Organization Department,
• Birthday,
• Notes,
• Photo,
• Labels,
• Phone 1 - Label,
• Phone 1 - Value

They don’t correspond to the ones we have on the phone : no address field (and adding the column addressdoesn’t work)… The field Organization Name is not taken into account, and it is not clear to me what I’m supposed to put in Phone 1 - Label.

I too am having trouble getting a CSV file to map to the Mudita Kompakt (the names import but no other information). Might you be able to provide an updated file for all?

Hi,
I’m sorry but this template is still not fully consistent with the fields available in the phone. For example there is no address field, no website… and it would be useful to have the different expected values in the Phone Label fields (especially for those who use another language).

I was able to get the template Urszula provided working…with one minor change. I updated column heading ‘Phone 1 - Label’ to ‘Phone 1 - Type’ and I was able to then set ‘Phone 1 - Type’ to ‘Mobile’ (or ‘Home’, etc). I imported name and phone numbers as follows:

First Name,Middle Name,Last Name,Phonetic First Name,Phonetic Middle Name,Phonetic Last Name,Name Prefix,Name Suffix,Nickname,File As,Organization Name,Organization Title,Organization Department,Birthday,Notes,Photo,Labels,Phone 1 - Type,Phone 1 - Value
