I couldn’t find an answer in the FAQs, so I’m asking here: could you kindly state, if there is the possibility to listen to offline radio stations (FM/AM) with the Mudita Kompakt?
I couldn’t find the exact specifications of the hardware components online, so there was no option to look up the capability of the individual chips, especially the WiFi / BT module.
@yc-6800 An FM/AM Radio is not in the plan as of now, however, I will ask our team if this is something that they are considering in the future.
I would love to hear from the rest of the community. What do you guys think.?
Would you like an FM/AM Radio in Mudita Kompakt?
I know a lot of people, especially older people, who are constantly listening to the radio. I think someone could argue that radio was the original infinite news timeline. Especially non-music radio.
It is, of course, less addictive and personalised than social media apps like TikTok, but I would not want this on my phone.
There are many apps that for some people would become addictive. (Podcast app, spotify, RSS feed reader) and for some people would be perfectly healthy to have on their phone. It depends on their personality. For some whatsapp groups are extremely addictive, for some it is perfectly fine. I can get addicted to reading PubMed articles, someone else get addicted to shopping apps.
I would argue that the most important feature to customize the phone. I would like to have Whatsapp, and an mp3 player on my phone but no Spotify or Radio.
This customization should be able to be done with addiction in mind though. For example, only be able to change the customization on Mudita Desktop. Or even only be able to change it once a week if customized like that (similar to Freedom Locked mode Locked Mode | Freedom Help Center)
Add radio drammas, cultural programme, contact programme, specialized music shows … not only news! Great media, less distracting then TV! It is the original mass media
@anon11367638 I love your dedication to Mudita Pure - it’s giving ‘keeper of the flame’ energy
In Poland we have this saying, “Za marzenia nie karzą.” It basically translates to the fact that you never get punished for your dreams So, feel free to keep dreaming. Who knows? Maybe one day, nostalgia will stage a comeback tour
Thanks, but dont forget software side was / is half of Pures unusability.
I see all lessons learned with compact, but it would be fair / drastically improve company standing to later revisit the old MOS
While Kompakt is surely success, Pure and Harmony were/are bread and butter gor years
@anon11367638 If we had a złoty for every time someone asked to bring back Mudita Pure we might almost be able to build one. Almost. But until the stars align (and the production lines follow), it’ll have to live on in our memories—and your very persistent dreams!
