Not sure if there’s another thread on this, but just wanted to inquire when the MMS support is planned for US based carriers. I saw it’s planned for Fall 2025 on the roadmap, but as it’s mid-October already, is there a more specific release date target?
I have two weeks left on my 30 day return of the phone, and I really love everything else about the Kompakt compared to other dumphones (light, sunbeam), but MMS support is present on those phones, and I can’t have a phone that fails at communication, the only thing I really NEED it to do.
When you say MMS support, are you referring to GROUP MESSAGES, you know where all participants can see every message and every reply from everyone else?
MMS are currently supported, you just have to enable them in the settings:
I am talking about group messages. I missed group texts yesterday. The messages app shows “9+” unread messages, but I scrolled through and don’t see any when I click into the app. I restarted the phone multiple times, and also pressed and held the power button until it restarted.
I set ‘Download MMS content’ to YES in the Messages app.
I navigated to the APNs menu but there’s nothing that mentions MMS. Just 5 different LTE options (Verizon Internet, CBS, EMERGENCY, FOTA, IMS) and another one called EPDG.

Update:
I navigated to the currently selected APN, the LTE - Verizon Internet one, set as VZWINTERNET, and in the list, MMSC is ‘not set’. I can’t enter a number in the field, though, and it’s greyed out.
I also cannot manually make APN profiles. I can only reset to default.
I had a question about the mudita keyboard, were there updates to it? I find it very easy to use now and I prefer it over the previous keyboards I tried when I last had the device (futo etc)
K thought so I actually really like it, I tried FUTO and some others and I was making so many errors typing, do you know if there is a way to sideload a speech to text app that works with the stock keyboard? Is that even possible, again not a deal breaker for me

Thanks for the clarification. Group messages- the kind where all participants can see every message and every reply from everyone else, those are not yet supported. They are coming in next update.
@urszula Thank you for the response. Is there any date for the next update? Group messages are a daily need for me, so I’ll need a different phone now if the update won’t come before the end of the month.
@jordanmcgilvery We don’t have a concrete date set, but the team is telling that it will still be this fall. In the meantime, you can sideload an alternative sms app like Quick. Many of our users have found success with it.
I found that the issue was related to blocking a number, similar to @jmash in another thread. When I unblocked the number I had blocked, I saw all the hidden group chats.
@urszula just want to say thank you, both you and the support team got back to me incredibly quickly. As a former tech support team member, I really appreciate the hard work you guys put in to get back to me about this issue.
