I have been loving using my mudita kompakt these past few months. One thing I can’t seem to get fixed is audio playback pausing on third-party apps, I have noticed this on Antennapod and on the NTS app. On NTS after around 15 minutes the playback pauses and the music stops, on Antennapod it is every 2 minutes. A simple tap of the play button fixes it but it is very inconvenient. How should I attempt to fix this kind of issue? Thanks in advance!

This is the phone closing the apps when they’re running as background processes
Turn on developer mode. See below. Once you have followed those instructions and navigated to Developer Options, search for “duraspeed" and “battery manager”, and within both, make sure your audio apps are marked as exempt from getting killed off by those apps.
That should help or solve your issue. You may have to redo each time after rebooting your phone, not certain on that.

@lowerflyinghornsparr We’re glad that you enjoy using your Mudita Kompakt. This topic has been discussed before & I believe it has something to do with battery optimization/ screen timeout & disabling Duraspeed.
Although I am not familiar with AntennaPod (I use CalmCast) sometimes sideloaded apps (not made specifically for Kompakt) do have some odd quirks that you have to either overcome or get used to,
That’s why I use CalmCast- it was made with Mudita Kompakt in mind, by our very own Mudita FORUM community member @davidray

thank you for sharing, I had been wondering what was going on when I was driving. I had the issue too but with spotify where it paused every 15 minutes, hoping this fixes it next time im on the road
