For context I will add that group messaging is not a basic feature of MMS in Europe

Thanks! I, too, have been a cellphone user since 1998.

Per this history, group messaging began sixteen years ago as a basic feature of MMS in the USA.

So, even though you had never heard of it, believe me, group messaging is a telephonic staple to this day in the USA – one of Mudita’s target markets for the Kompakt.

In spite of this, Mudita launched the Kompakt with incomplete SMS/MMS functionality.

Three More "SMS" App Bugs in MuditaOS K 1.1.1

Bug #1 Friend “A” has a 1-to-1, several-messages-long text thread with me. I keep that thread in my Kompakt. Friend “A” then sends five group text messages to ten other people + me. Having earlier read all messages in my SMS app, I then get – not surprisingly – a (5) dot in the upper-right corner of the SMS app’s icon on the home screen: [Screenshot_20250524-112511] But, when I tap the SMS app’s icon, I see the aforementioned 1-to-1 text thread with friend “A” but DO NOT SEE the group text-mes…
