My fingerpring sensor on Mudita Kompakt stopped working. So I deleted my only fingerprint and wanted to retry the process of setting it up from scratch. But I have no option to add a fingerprint anymore. When i go to my security settings, there is no “Manage Fingerprints” avaliable anymore.
Is this a glitch or somehow my mistake? Any idea how to enable back fingerprint unlock?
After I updated I didn’t get the new feature to choose the Unlock mode didn’t appear until I restarted one more time after the update. So in case you haven’t tried a restart give it a go
Still nothing sadly. Also, maybe I phrased my last post badly. I’m not talking about the new unlock modes - touch vs press - I am talking about setting up fingerpring unlock fundamentally. The option just isn’t there. Wierd.

Any updates? Tried all kinds of resets and solutions found on the forum, but nothing works so far. My problem is similar to this guy’s, so no manage fingeprints menu shows up

I am unable to get to or see this screen.
Also, after tinkering a bit with AIDA 64, I also don’t see the fingerprint scanner listed, which might indicate a hardware issue. Not a dev here, so just guessing what could be the problem based on what I read on the webz.

Hi, I just had this happen to me a few days ago. I’ve tried restarting my phone and downloading the new update but neither brought back the fingerprint sensor. Could I get some help too?
Have you set up a fingerprint scan before or is this your first time?
I’ve also been having problems with the fingerprint sensor since today. I got home from work and tried to unlock the Kompakt with my finger as usual, but it didn’t work. I went into the settings, changed the unlock method to swipe for the time being, and when I went back into the settings, “Manage Fingerprints” was gone!
Then I restarted it, but it was still gone. So I turned the Kompakt off completely, waited a bit, and turned it back on.
Then the option reappeared. I turned it back on, but now when I try to unlock it with my finger, it doesn’t work. I have to press the power button firmly until the screen turns on, and then I can unlock it with my finger.
I’ve never had problems like this before.
I had one set up for about 6-7 months and then it stopped working. I restarted my phone and the fingerprint options just went away entirely. Before this the options showed up but didn’t work.
Any in that time did you sideload any apps? Maybe a new launcher?
I side loaded a bunch of apps when I first got the phone but not really since then. Only change I can think of is when I switched from Apple Music to Spotify a few months ago. No new launchers.
It happened again tonight. I couldn’t unlock the phone with my finger anymore. When I checked the settings, I saw that all my saved fingerprints were gone! I had to restart the phone, and then I was able to add two new fingerprints, but the sensor stopped responding again when I tried to add a third. I didn’t have these problems before the 1.5.0 update.
