Just placed my order. Will see how I get on with the phone. But I want to say I am impressed by how much a young and relatively small company have achieved with this phone and the huge list of updates coming soon. As someone with experience in the industry I know how many difficult design decisions and engineering challenges this requires and also how actually delivering incremental improvements can be just as difficult, if not harder, than delivering the initial product. This device and the software may not be perfect but it is shaping up nicely. I’d like to see some kind of native ticket wallet and / or payment method eventually. Maintaining the ability to sideload apps at your own risk is also a must for me. Beyond that, keep doing what you’re doing. Let’s see how I find living with the Kompakt once it arrives!

Very excited! I know the Group texting is not in this update, but also can’t wait for that! I like the stock sms app and just cant wait to stop using a side-loaded replacement.

take your time testing… Thanks for making it a good release. @urszula : perhaps you can also consider creating a beta testing setup, some people might be happy to take the risk of using a not fully tested release to give you early feedback and give a you larger variety of testing conditions (like countries, languages, style of usage, system environments).

@urszula Hi Urszula, could you please please please add into the July update the function of repeating one song on a loop to the Music Player app? I have urgent need for this function for several reasons and without it I would have to remove and add the music files into Mudita kompakt every day which is not really feasible or sideload a different music player which I don’t really want to do.

Is there a timeline for when in July? I’m going on a trip at the end of the month and was wondering if I’d be able to use the GPS at that time or if I needed to look at other options for the trip. Thank you for the update! ^^

Hey, I am having two main issues with the Kompakt right now that I think should be added in future releases.
First, hotspot is not working. Cellular data is working fine and I can connect my laptop to the hotspot, but there is no internet connection. I do have internet connection if my phone is already connected to wifi (therefore acting as an access point). The cellular data will not come through hotspot. I am using PureTalk wireless and have configured the APN according to their instructions https://www.puretalk.com/data. Let me know if I can help troubleshoot it further.
Second (and more importantly) my bluetooth earbuds have disappeared and will no longer show up as available to be paired. I have tried everything I can imagine on the earbud side, even going so far as to reset them. However, nothing works. Other bluetooth devices work fine. it is just my earbuds (which are also the first devices that I started using on the Kompakt. Maybe a bug there?)

@sannasanna I have passed this on to the team, however, I’ll be honest, unfortunately it’s too late to add anything to the July update. We will be releasing it soon & I think the team is in the testing phase at this point, so no new features could be added this close to the release date.

The Bluetooth bugs are known bugs are are being worked on. So that’s definitely being taken care of.

Cool, I would be happy to further troubleshoot it with PureTalk if you think that would be helpful. Just let me know the best method to troubleshoot this for you all.

With the arrival of GPS guidance in the next update, do you plan to offer accessories like specific phone mounts? I would love to be able to attach it easily and discreetly to my bike’s handlebars, without having to slip the phone into a big, ugly pouch.
If, in addition, the mount was compatible with wireless charging, that would be really great! (by connecting the mount to a power bank or an ebike battery).
I guess a car mount with wireless charging would be great too, even if I don’t own a car.

It’s probably quite stressful for the team to realize how critical this update is. I feel like a lot is weighing on this being a substantial and important moment to fix a somewhat rushed launch. Nonetheless, good luck to the team - I decided to keep my Kompakt but am really hoping it can actually live up to its full potential.
