With InkApps store coming in K OS 2.0, what apps do you want to see?

Mudita’s teaser for MuditaOS K2.0 shows an app store for mindful e-ink oriented apps.

What are your dream apps to see in that store?

I for one would love to see an eink friendly app that helps track workouts. There are some FOSS options already but none are super e-ink friendly IMO.

I would like to see a way to easily view and close open apps. I have app killer sideloaded but it’s a bit clumsy, compared to stock Android, where apps can simply be flicked off the screen to end their process.

KompaktCalendar is an awesome app. I much prefer using my phone to add to my calendar than a something with standard google calendar. I would like to see a addition in the same spirit made for a tasks app. Bonus for syncing through davx to google tasks like kompaktcal but honestly I could just make do with to do only on my phone. It would be a lot simpler. I have experimented with tasks.org sideloaded, but on the Kompakt it isn’t worth the trouble. Certainly not optimized for e-ink and in my opinion not very graceful in the first place. This request is for the community developers, by the way. For native Kompakt apps there is already a lot to be desired, if they made a tasks I’d be surprised if it was usable… I’m looking at the music player and the e reader as examples of apps I am glad I found decent sideloaded options for.

I wonder what the process will be for developers adding their apps. Will Mudita reach out to people, or will it be an opt in process where you submit your own own.

Presumably the community app review section of the forum was launched to give them an idea of the most-liked apps.

Yes I am also eager to see how they go about rolling our the apps. It seems tricky to keep it minimal… where do you draw the line?

2FA would be nice

What is an example of a 2FA app that you use?

I ask because I receive all 2FA codes through SMS, which the Kompakt already supports.

In the past for work or school they require more than sms 2fa , something like google authenticator or microsoft authenticator because of now I have to carry around my Cat s22 flip for 2fa which is fine but rather not have to have it in my bag

I looked up Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator on the Aurora Store app (which you can install on your Kompakt). These two authenticators have a listed dependency on Google Play services, which MuditaOS K, as a Google-apps-free operating system, does not have.

@Cardiomannisback: Good news from @mertgndz: You will be able to use Microsoft Authenticator on your next Kompakt!

Yeah did not know this was possible!

I was thinking the same thing. I get Text messages to verify logins.

Yeah but that is not very secure, and most companies are big on security as well as colleges and universities
