Hello, I love the Kompakt, it is hands down the best phone I’ve ever owned. I also use it every day as an MP3-player and in that aspect there are a few small things I would like to see improved upon. I would love for it to play songs in a folder according to track number of the mp3-file, instead of alphabetical order (especially when I listen to albums that have songs that intertwine, like a Pink Floyd album for instance, it is a bummer that it doesn’t follow the correct order). I would also like to see a play-queue or at least a “play next” option. Other than that I love the music player.

It is one of my few gripes with the phone as well, as I only listen to music by album. That said, someone kindly recommended Foobar2000 to me. If you know how to sideload apps, it is definitely the best option I have found so far in the meantime as it is a fully featured music player. It is not completely adapted for e-ink but it is decent as temporary solution. Of course I am also eagerly waiting for this feature to be added to the standard player.

Glad to hear someone else is also using it as a music player. I have not sideloaded any apps yet and have generally not felt the need to, but this might be a reason to look into that. I will check out Foobar2000. Let’s cross our fingers in hope of a better intergrated music player in the future

I agree. The behavior I expect is similar:
All Songs should order tracks alphabetically according to the song/track title (ID3 frame TIT2).
Files should show just that: file names. The first track I should see in file view is “01 - ZYX.mp3” (TIT2=ZYX), regardless of its track name.
The behavior I experience:
Files lists files by their song/track title value TIT2. When I navigate to the directory containing my favorite album, the first song listed points to the file name “06 - ABCD.mp3” (TIT2=ABCD). Alternatively, it could order tracks according to the ID3 frame TRCK=n or TRCK=n/N, but this would also contradict the user’s reasonable expectation to see Filenames in the Files view–especially if this information is incorrect or missing.
