hey,
I use mudita as daily driver and I can bear the known issues but why the OS development is going slower.
I mean there is a lot of issues unsolved and no new release in a long while
we need a fix for the call waiting issue and ability to select custom ring tone that might be editied to allow more volume and the battery drain issues
please this is least of our rights as early supporters
Thanks
Sorry but wall waiting has been a fundamental feature for phones since the 90s. And number 2 regarding the unsupported characters you are releasing a phone internationally and the phone can only display characters from 5 languages ? So yeah it seems that we have a different interpretation of what a new feature and a bug is . These are bugs which will never be fixed and not new features . Either way I understand that it was an experiment that didn’t go well and I understand that the development team is focused on the new phone. If the new phone fails like it did with pure , the development team will focus on the next one and so on. But please don’t mask a bug as new feature
@Amr_Osman & @shak Hi guys- I’m not sure how often you guys visit the forum, however, we actually posted about this earlier this year and send our a newsletter to all Pure owners on March 7th that the VoLTE feature will be Pure’s last feature. We will continue supporting MuditaOS, but new features will not be added. If there are bugs, we encourage you to report them.
We are not asking for new features, but at least fix the waiting issue that has been reported for months now
@Amr_Osman The call-waiting issue was also addressed in November of last year.
I apologize if my response might have not been clear. We did originally think it was something that we could fix, however, after doing some investigation, we’ve determined that the call-waiting issue is primarily influenced by how network providers handle incoming calls while you’re on another call. Due to this, a guaranteed fix through a system update isn’t feasible. A lot of it has to do with how each individual network deals with call-waiting and adapting PURE to all the different scenarios of all the different networks (especially ones where Pure is not certified) is not something that we could have overcome. That said, call-waiting was not really a core feature of Mudita Pure, so we did not more forward with the fix.
The call-waiting issue is not really a “bug” in the Mudita Pure software. It’s more how your specific network deals with

@shak Thank you for your feedback. I understand your concerns and appreciate the opportunity to clarify. Mudita Pure was designed with simplicity at its core, and call-waiting was not included as a promised feature. This functionality primarily depends on network providers, who handle call routing and signaling. making it unfeasible for us to adapt Mudita Pure to every possible network.
Regarding non-Latin characters, Mudita Pure was never intended to support them because our custom font in MuditaOS does not allow for such expansion.
We understand this may not be what you were hoping to hear, but in an effort to be transparent, we feel it’s important to clarify these points.
