Anyone having trouble with the weather app? I can’t get it to use my current location. I’ve made sure I’m sharing via the accessibility menu and even toggled that on and off but every time I try to set it to Wellington, New Zealand where I live it says “No GPS Signal.” I’ve even done it in the most perfect, clear outdoor park setting. Doesn’t work. And now I will forever know the weather in Warsaw lest someone can help me. (I can add Wellington btw, just can’t make it default).
Click on the pencil & then tap on the place. This will take you to a window where you can type in Wellington, NZ & then just tap DONE.
On my mudita there’s an issue that I can only type one letter in there, and it doesn’t let me type further. I just had to copy paste the city into it to work.
@urszula thanks yeah that’s easy to do but you can’t make it the default that way, can you?
The first place on the list always defaults to DEFAULT ![]()
So when I open the weather app, it opens to Byron Bay, not Warsaw
@urszula I added Wellington and it goes to the second spot, you can’t press down and hold and move it. Warsaw remains at the top. And the edit button only gives me the option to delete welly. When you click on warsaw from that screen it only gives you the option to add your current location, at which point GPS fails. This is the loop I"ve been stuck in.
@miguelnewzealand You need to tap on the DEFAULT setting and then change it.

@urszula, that’s what i’m trying to say. When you tap on that the only way to change it is to ‘use current location’ to which i get a ‘gps not found’ message. I cannot simply change it to the the Wellington location.
@miguelnewzealand You don’t have the option to SEARCH:
My phone shows NO GPS SIGNAL because I’m currently indoors.
@urszula you’ve got to be kidding me. I can’t believe i kept hitting use your location. I feel silly. Two spots to search for the city really threw me off. Thanks for that.
No worries, it happens to the best of us
I have blonde moments ALL THE TIME ![]()
The problem only occurs when using an alternative keyboard. With the Mudita keyboard, it should work without any problems.
