I do have an older SIM card though (does not have a 5G logo on it). Not sure if that’s the issue, but just wanted to add a data point.
From my own testing: Xfinity did not work for me, Mint mobile does.
Pure talk seems to be working fine with texting and I have full bars. I’m not sure why the last bar looks like an exclamation point. Can’t say how the call works because I’ve lost my voice being sick this week but hope to try it soon.
It is extremely slow to update the weather, actually I haven’t been able to get it to update weather at all since cutting off wifi.
Update: voice works fine so far - husband said I sound a tiny bit robotic.
My data is too slow to update weather, not sure what else on it would use data. I have an exclamation point as my 4th bar most of the time but idk what that means.
When it comes to US providers that work with Mudita Kompakt:
Radio tests for Mudita Kompakt on AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile networks have returned positive results. So, network connection should not be a problem. eSIM functionality has also been successfully tested.
If for some reason, you are having some challenges with activating, we recommend using another device initially (just for the activation process & then moving the SIM card over to Mudita Kompakt) or manually entering the APN settings if needed.
Using another device to activate the SIM did not work for my phone. Would show connected but would not actually connect to the server and could not make calls or send texts. Other folks may be having a better time but my device is defective.
That’s actually what my phone was doing as well. I have Xfinity Mobile, and it works perfectly fine on my iPhone. I switched it to the Mudita and had 1-0 bars. I couldn’t make a call or send any texts. This was part of the reason why I decided to return. But you and I are in the same boat for that as well.
I have a NA optimized version. As far as I can tell T-Mobile is the only carrier that works, some have had luck swapping their Verizon/AT&T sim into their Mudita but I couldn’t get it activated on Verizon due to the IMEI.
As an update, pure talk works in my iPhone fine for all purposes. I can only use talk and text on the kompakt - nothing that uses data such as weather and I’m guessing maps.
I currently cannot use the kompakt because of group texting and not getting voice mail notifications so I’m pretty bummed but hoping those are priority fixes. I know the most recent news was they’re focusing on music but… I really hope they are doing this too and not waiting for the next quarter. I’d like to send a message but know they’re slammed.
I do have data and roaming enabled but the data is just too slow to load I guess. It worked on my iPhone fine so I’m not sure if there is another setting I may have wrong. I haven’t changed anything.
It just keeps the “loading data” screen but never shows up.
Do you know what it means when your last service bar before the LTE is an exclamation point?
@tkbunch Can you restart the phone? Or turn the OFFLINE+ mode on & then off. Let’s try that.
I just tried offline on then off. It did not help. Do you mean like a complete reset of my phone or just turn it off then back on?
I just turned off and on but no to that either unfortunately
@tkbunch I would restart it first. A factory reset will wipe everything on your phone- so I wouldn’t do that cuz you’ll have to start from scratch.
Ok I tried that. My daughter has US mobile so I’m going to put her sim in and see if it’s any different.
US mobile sim behaves the same. Text is fine, call works but I am very quiet to the other person. No data and have the exclamation point in my service bars.
@tkbunch Can you send a picture, please?

Here is the exclamation point at the end of the bars this is for both pure talk and us mobile.
@tkbunch Thank you so much. I’ve asked my team about this & I’m waiting for a reply.
