Anyone else having issues with V3.2.0? My device appears, but when i click it it says there is a connection problem. Tried a different USB port on my computer, and two different cables. Have succefully connected via ADB, but Mudita centre seems to be struggling?
@xer0 Sometimes it can do this if your phone locks during the connection. I will ask the team what else could be happening. If it’s possible, can you send a screenshot of what is happening?
a screenshot of my phone? the phone just shows its actively charging. the desktop software says ‘There was a connection problem’. I have also clicked to contact support on the Mudita Centre, and sent an error report. My phone screen is unlocked, USB Debugging is off, yet it still wont connect.
@xer0 I asked our team about this & they looked at the logs. The communication issue is occurring at the lowest level (SerialPort), and the logs show that the device is connecting in some strange mode.
The team, therefore, suggested that you take the following steps:
- Connect the Kompakt.
- Go to Settings.
- Open Connected Devices.
- Open USB Preferences.
- Select File transfer.
Thanks, however its already set to that, and still exhibiting the same problem. i do have two different devices appear in Mudita centre - my Kompact, and also an ‘unknown device’. However neither devices will work when i click on them
@xer0 Hmmm. This generally happens when there is a problem with the physical connection. Usually, simply unplugging and reconnecting the Kompakt is enough, however, I know that you already tried that. Let me troubleshoot with the team. I would also try using a different USB port, and finally a different computer. Also, avoid using a USB hub you’re using one.
I’m getting the same problem. Kompakt only arrived yesterday. I can initially link to Mudita Centre but when I click on Manage Files I get ‘Loading Please Wait’ followed by a connection error shortly after. I’ve tried different USB ports, different cables, restarted phone & laptop. Same thing every time
I’m reaching out to our team with this issue.
I just want make sure you tried using a different cable to connect. Sometimes that helps.
Michal has been trying to help me following my submission of a Support Ticket. I have tried several different cables, different USB ports, restarting the phone, restarting the laptop, uninstalling and reinstalling Mudita Center. Still no luck. Michal suggested waiting for the software update and trying again. My phone updated today but it still can’t maintain a connection to Mudita Center. Without being able to side load a few apps that are vital to me I’m afraid the phone is useless to me. Sorry. I really wanted to love it but I think it will have to come back
@urszula - i have attempted to download V3.1.0 from your GitHub, but i cant run it as it wants to force an upgrade to 3.2.0. Is there any way around this, so i can use the software and backup my phone?
