So some more stuff, nothing big, just some small things. I feel like the display refresh rate is maybe different or something else. But I see more ghosting then on MOS, I have to refresh in inkos much more. Is there a simple setting to refresh when in apps? Or do I always need to go back to the launcher for double tap? I don’t know what it is but it feels like there is much faster and stronger ghosting then before on MOS.
I still can’t get a picture on AOD screen when someone is calling. On OG phone app, not thirdparty. Strange as it seems to only be me here. I disable several notification settings and re-enabled them. Fullscreen notifications (heads-up?) was always turned on in phone notification settings. Really strange. Can’t find anything. It is just a black screen in aod when someone is calling, no name. Is it maybe because I don’t use any contact photos, just names showing when someone is calling? On the lockscreen itself everything is fine and name is showing as it should.
One more problem here which was already persistent in MOS but they don’t work on it. Maybe it is possible for you to do something? On the OG phone app call is ending after only 30 seconds when I try to call someone and he or she has not yet took the call. On all my other phones it is with the same sim card/provider ringing for around 2 minutes. With Kompakt it is only 30seconds, old people often need more than 30 seconds to take a call f.e. Problem was on KOS and is now on LOS too. Any way to fix that?
I am sorry but I would rather not send you a clip of me calling someone, a little private. But it is way to low volume when on loudspeaker, and just loudspeaker, I am not talking about the normal earspeaker or headset. I own a low quality Bluefox NX1 with very quiet loudspeaker. It is very annoying. I use loudspeaker a lot when I am alone calling someone, so it is a little frustrating. Any way to just increase loudspeaker max volume? Or a setting you can turn on? I only need high volume loudspeaker when calling someone. I know what you mean about it being quite loud on MOS. The alarm f.e. was quite loud but imo it is better to have higher volume then too low volume. On normal speaker, not loudspeaker, volume is good imo.
Again thanks for all the hard work. You are doing so good work. :-)))
In kompakt app / 3 dots on top right / advanced and see your temperature there. Default should be 11 and it matches MuditaOS temperature. Keep in mind if you live in a country where winter is coming (meaning temperatures are falling) you might experience more ghosting due to cold. E-ink performs better in warmer weather.
In 1.3 I’m bringing more customization for e-ink to make the display faster, but also slower than the default refresh rate. This would benefit both those that are bothered by ghosting and can make the screen slower, and those that are not and want it faster.
To clean ghosting Longpress on home button, it works on any app.
I’m not sure I’m understanding you here. If you can take a photo or a video of this happening so I can understand it. (because for me I thought u are not getting the full screen call pop up if your phone is in AOD)
But now that you’re mentioning Black, it probably means that you’re on “fast” eink mode. That one crushes shadows (so if you have a contact image it will make everything black), use the fast+dither one. (default mode in Kompakt app).
And just to clarify AOD only shows icons for notifications. If you’re contact is “priority” you will get their profile picture as an icon.
I’m not asking you to send me a private call recording. I’m asking you to send a bug report where phone records in text if the phone is hitting the max volume at the time that you’re having the call. You don’t have to call a contact, call your insurance or some institution that has a call menu. Or you can use AI to randomize the private data if there’s any in the logs.
The volume is already at max, in fact the audio is a little distorted at the heighest volume due to how loud it is. Like I said I suspect that the speaker modules might have different batches. Mine is already super loud both on a call and media playing (it doesn’t sound great, but it is loud). So without logs from someone who has low volume issues I have no way to compare with my own logs and find where the issue is.
Again for this I would need logs to understand why your call ends in 30 secs. On my SIM this is handled by the carrier, it ends in 62 seconds (both wifi and lte call) it doesn’t end in 30 secs.
Bug report is turned on in Developer Options / Bug report
It runs for 2-3 mins so you can do both things. After it is done you get a notification and you can share the zip file.
As stated here, it’s not possible to use Always-on VPN on current MuditaOS version
I didn’t try KompaktOS for now as I am waiting for MuditaOS K 2.0
But in the meantime, can someone confirm that KompaktOS does offer the possibility to use Always-on VPN ?
