Unlocked bootloader?

Hello, I’m just curious if the device will have an unlocked bootloader? I remember reading somewhere where the team had said it would. This would allow the user to effectively own their device and not suffer from software locks that vendors like Apple and Samsung put on their devices.

The Kompakt looks like the phone I’ve wanted for years, due to the e-Ink, the kill switch, headphone jack, and the inclusion of mapping. And since it’s Android under the hood, I look forward to writing a custom app for it. However I do have a question: Will the bootloader be unlocked so that we will be able to flash an OS onto the device ourselves, rather than rely on the OS installed at the factory in China? And will you provide a pristine ROM from your servers in Poland for us to use? I ask …
