TTS Voice Settings Crashing

I can’t find a dedicated thread for this. Please move or delete if this has already been answered.

I am trying to install Marmalade TTS as the system text to speech service. Every time I try to set it though the app, the settings app crashes. There is no way to access this setting through the phone, so I assume it is hidden for a reason. Is there a work around? I have seen other discussions that mention this bug with other TTS apps like RHVoice. But it sounds like some people have gotten it to work, more or less.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Marmalade, setting it through another app like PocketBook or Here We Go, i even tried being really fast with tapping before the crash. Nothing seems to work.

Any advice? Are there plans for patching this setting the future? Thanks.

I’m not familiar with this app, but it could be an OS-level limitation on Mudita Kompakt. I will ask our team about it.
However, if other users have gotten other TTS apps to work, it could be something else. Let’s see what the community has to say, while I consult the team.
