No, but you will be able to export its data and import it to Kompakt, where you do further updates
Sorry I am not technical, so if I want google calendar events synced to my Kompakt calendar I can’t do it? A bit frustrated because this was the same issue with the Pure, well the Pure Calendar would not work at all, why have they not figured this out yet
Its de-Goggled phone. It effectivly means it can`t auto sync to ANY google service.
However, contacts, calendar etc. have EXPORT and such file can be IMPORTED
@anon456692 AWESOME! Thank you so much for supporting our mission.
So I will be able to import events from my google calendar to the Mudita Calendar?
@Sharaz Is there any word when this feature will arrive and if Apple Calendar will be included in the integration? I’ve been eyeing off the phone on indie go go and this is a dealbreaker for me unfortunately
This is NOT supported on ANY Android device, thanks to Apple not making or allowing ANY Android app. However, assuming you have your Apple ID and iCloud web access,
this is a way to do it on ANY Android device, and should work on Kompakt too
The light phone 2 does it.
I suppose not Android based? Its not impossible, my understanding is that Apple is making it harder, unlike Google (for others to import their services)
AOSP is open and Apple is closed. There need to be more options for people, it has been dominated by two giants for too long!
@grilledcheesebb
I’ve passed this question on to our team. Sharaz is on a much deserved holiday so I’m letting him rest
@grilledcheesebb
Hi! Just got word that Apple/Google calendar sync is something that we planning on implementing, however it will not be ready at launch. It will be included in a future update.
Any plans for general caldav/carddav support? Apple and google are not the best solutions privacy-wise
I also have that question, as I use a Nextcloud-based service provider (Sign up for a free Nextcloud account) to single-source calendar data (CalDAV) and contact data (CardDAV) that I can access with devices running four different operating systems (Windows, Linux, Google Android, and AOSP).
THREE Cellular Telephone Numbers?
Does this mean that a Kompakt can simultaneously have THREE cellular telephone numbers – two SIMs plus one eSIM?
Official reply is best but I believe that activating eSim disables one sim ability
On reedit it says depends on phone model, but even when possible its via switching and not all 3 active
@anon11367638 you’re correct
sim+sim OR esim+sim are supported
esim mode disables one sim slot
Thank you, @urszula. “esim mode disables one sim slot” is a great way to summarize this!
I found this in a Web search:
There are actually three types of dual SIM phones.
- Dual SIM Standby (DSS): Only one SIM can be used at a time, 1 radio chip. The phone has single IMEI number.
- Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS): Two SIMs can be used at a time, but if one opens a call or data connection, the other is offline. The phone has two different IMEI numbers.
- Dual SIM Active (or sometimes Dual SIM Dual Active) (DSA/DSDA): Two SIMs can be used at a time, 2 radio chips. This enables both SIMs to open calls and/or data connection. The phone has two different IMEI numbers.
Which one will Kompakt provide?
I hope its newer enough to have dual SIM active (last option) as 1 and 2 are quite obsolete and rare now.
But often even with dual SIM active, number of slots in phone is limited to 2 for SiMs and memory card
so I would expand the question to:
- Option 1: 2 SIMs no SD no eSIM
- Option 2: 1 SIM and SD, plus eSIM
- Option 3 (unlikely) 2 SIMS (or 1 SIM and 1 esIM), plus SD availiable?
I think option #3 might work if only 1 sim slot is being used, then the avail. SD slot still can function as an SD slot.
