Will the Global version also work in North America, or do these two versions NOT intersect, cellular-bands-wise?

Update: I found this on the Kickstarter page:

The Global version features network certifications in Europe, the US, Australia, and New Zealand, including FCC and PTCRB, ensuring dependable connectivity when traveling to North America, Asia, and South America.

The North American version is optimized for the unique network requirements in the US and Canada, providing even better connectivity in these countries, and remaining usable in other regions of the world.

With global reach and Dual SIM and eSIM functionality, both versions offer flexibility and reliability wherever your journey takes you.

I interpret this as the North America version = the Global version PLUS better connectivity in North America (for which one must wait until May instead of April of 2025), but perhaps @urszula or somehow else will speak to this.

Update #2: I found this further down on the Kickstarter page:

Choosing the right version of Mudita Kompakt depends on how and where you plan to use it. The global mobile infrastructure varies significantly, especially between North America and the rest of the world. That’s why Mudita Kompakt is available in two versions: Global Optmized and North American Optimized.

Global Optimized: This version features network certifications in Europe, the US, Australia, and New Zealand, including FCC and PTCRB, ensuring dependable connectivity when traveling to North America, Asia, and South America.

North America Optimized: Tailored for consistent and dependable connectivity in the US and Canada, where mobile networks have unique requirements compared to the rest of the globe. This version will still work in other parts of the world, though not as reliably as in North America.

By choosing the right version for your needs, you ensure the best possible experience, whether you need dependable Global coverage or priority connectivity in North America.

I look forward to seeing the 4G/LTE bands supported in each version!

Update #3: And, boom, here are ALL the bands in the two versions:

@urszula, regarding the supported languages, Danish is not included. Does this mean that there is no Nordic keyboard?

Long wait though sheesh, for North America May 2025, not sure I can use this light phone 2 till then, maybe keep my lp3 order and use it till Mudita launches then sell it on reddit can easily get my money back and then some

I personally want to try both the LP3 and Mudita Kompakt, I think both are well worth backing and development will continue long into the future. They can only get better and better. Look how far both companies have come recently. And how far they’re leaving Punkt behind.

It’s a lot of money but hey ho…

Yeah its just hard money wise to convince the wife to spend that much money on 2 phones, eventually have to choose one lol, for me I think having the LP3 in January and using it until the Kompakt comes out will make the wait so much easier because May is a long time away for the North American Launch

Look at what came into my email inbox just seven minutes before the Kompakt Kickstarter launch – an email message from Punkt!
