I was thinking in a broad sense if a QR code could be displayed on the phone screen along with some fun stuff or over a background pattern.

Go back to the original lotus / Mudita lock screen. It was very restive and credits the phone where credit is due.
In this crazy world not EVERYTHING has to have a technically functional purpose - some things should be just aesthetically pleasing, such as a screen that just sits there and greets you when you pick up the phone.
I just upgraded, and the new lock screen is simply sterile and ugly. Something Mudita Kompakt competitors should be happy about…

The lock screen now seems a bit ‘bare’ for me. I didn’t mind the old logo lock. I’d love a reverse logo lock (mostly black with light logo).

@urszula this is great news. I assume the next update is months away right? just curious. (also I am very happy they ditched the logo…didn’t realize how much it bothered me till it was gone.)

I know there are many opinions on this topic and it’s being worked on 
Adding +1 vote for removing the lock, or adding a setting to do so. Custom screen would be the preferred long term option, but not sure how difficult that is, and seems less urgent than bug fixes IMO.
I think once the Mudita Logo was removed, it doubled my annoyance with the lock since now it’s the only thing to look at

Maybe a clock and with one frame per minute the battery shouldnt suffer to much.

De gustibus non est disputandum, as they say… Looks like the lock screen is the most controversial part of the phone, everyone would like to have it different. 
It seems to become a personal thing like ringtones.
I’m upvoting the idea of nothing/lock/full logo/lotus only/QR or any other image/clock that refreshes every 1 or 5 minutes or says “half past five” type of thing every quarter/motivational or mindfulness text.
Perhaps I’d have to purchase more Kompakts to enjoy all the modes lol.
Nah, just kidding. Most of the time, I don’t care about the phone and it’s lock screen and I feel great about that.

For the ultimate minimalist/stealth look I’d like to see an option to have a blank black (/inverted) screen.

@urszula probably cause you work there! My favorite thing about the update is not having to look at a company logo.

Hello,
I was thinking about buying Mudita Kompakt for my elementary school aged kid. I thought that not displaying anything useful for the always on case is a bummer. But when I started writing this reply I gathered that it is not such a big deal. A regular phone screen would be just blank.
Though for me that would be a plus if what is displayed there would be programmable. Especially for the kid’s phone. Is it possible to use Family Link with Mudita Kompakt? With Family Link I can make the device beep annoyingly so it is not missed if I want my kid to contact me, somewhat better would be for the device to display something for me there. Maybe that’s a tangent, but it would be useful.
Now I have an idea for Mudita team. Something that would fit the theme perfectly. I don’t know if you are familiar with Focus Friend app - https://www.yourfocusfriend.com/ Basically it is an app where you tell it how long you will not touch your phone and then you get a little graphical reward for it. Like a game that rewards you for not playing it. So my idea is as follows: make the screen bloom the less you interact with the phone. You could even play with your logo (without text) and make more flowers. Give a bit of randomization there and after 24h it would be complete. Make it very slow and soothing and you have a winner.
Though a custom image and an option to display time/weather and maybe more goodies would be always good.

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and ideas with us! Since Mudita Kompakt doesn’t support Google Services, I don’t think apps like Family Link will work on the device- even if sideloaded. That said, we really appreciate your suggestion about the always-on display and the “focus blooming” idea. I will definitely pass this along to our team for consideration. Thanks again for the inspiration!

Wondering if there are any updates about the lock screen in the latest update? I also loathe the asymmetrical, isolated lock icon. I am hoping for something more aesthetic or blank. Or even the option to remove it. The logo would be preferable to me!
