In the SMS app, after clicking the plus button and selecting a contact or typing in a number a new conversation doesn’t start… It just refreshes the screen and shows the “Enter a contact or number” page again. Is there any way to remedy this? Note, I’ve side loaded a third party launcher and other third party apps.
EDIT: not trying to start a group message… just an individual message.
@littlestbrother are you trying to start an individual message or a group message (Group messages are not yet available- they are coming in a future update)

Do you have any Developer Option enabled that maybe could interfere with the SMS-app?
EDIT: I had that problem when I had the Developer Option ‘Don’t Keep Activities’ enabled
I noticed you’re using a custom launcher.
After consulting with our team, it seems that the launcher launches an intent to contacts to select recipient instead of intent to open the messages app.
Apparently Kompakt’s contacts app responds, but the sideloaded launcher cannot respond to our contacts’ response. (this all sounds a bit confusing, I know and I’m sorry)
Did you try the SMS prior to changing launcher? Or is there another launcher you could go with?
I’m tracking the explanation. I tried the solution above and it seemed to resolve the issue. But if more issues arise I’l be sure to try using the OEM launcher. Thanks!
