As we are in the midst of the release, we are not able to communicate the roadmap very clearly, but things will show up with new software releases.
Adding communicator without the need of side loading it is also our dream;-)

What about an update to fix the texting experience using messaging? Many people are saying it is slow
Thanks for weighing in @Michal_Kicinski. Am I imagining it or was there to be an official message on Android 12 security updates, EOL and Android 13/14 etc.?
yes, once things slow down and you’ve got the NA deliveries out looking forward to what’s planned
I have to say that seems to be one of the minor issues to me. Not a problem at all for me. A fellow commentator pointed out that there should be no need to text in hyperspeed as we are on a device for getting away from any stress. I agree.
Yeah thats how I take it, I have been using the lp2 and it has this same issue and I have gotten so use to it doesn’t bother me at all, it teaches me patience and it has helped a lot, that a long with meditation, I rather have a device that is slower and intentional
May 15th lol
Nice! Excited to watch this!
And its where you make your announcement you have decided to switch to the Kompakt…I knew this day would come…
Not even close.
hahahahaha, hey you shoot and you home for the best!
Hi Michal, and thanks for your reply,
As I said my words were just my main takeaway after a couple of days with the phone.
I read a bit about the issues with Pure here, and my impression is that Pure owners feels a bit abandoned even if they have very minor updates. But it’s true I didn’t make an in-depth investigation on the subject and I might be wrong on that one.
When it comes to Kompakt’s software as many users pointed out it would have better not to add a music app at all for instance rather than adding the one we have now. Same goes for maps or reader apps. For example I think it would have been a better idea to release the phone without the maps app that to say “Hey… one more thing: we have a maps app!” only to let costumers find for themselves that what we have here Is an app that has maps, not an actual maps app. As a consequence costumers -understandably, feel a bit disappointed or even cheated.
On the side of software things cannot be changed obviously, and the quality of the some of the components left something to be desired, especially when it comes to sound quality -again, on a device that is intended to do just that: communicate mainly via phone calls.
So yeah, I appreciate your time and effort and I hope my comments didn’t come up as harsh, yet there was a necessary criticism in my humble opinion. I know your heart is in the right place and you are working hard on this, and it is indeed praiseworthy what you, as a team, are trying to do here with products like the Kompakt. Nevertheless I think my criticism was appropriate all things considered and in the interest both of you and potential future costumers.
Best warn regards!
I agree with the maps, seems pointless to release it if it can’t give you turn by turn directions, not sure what purpose it serves. Music I think should be released, you can still listen to music on the app. Call quality etc I think comes down to personal preference because many people say its fine others say its not up to par, I will just have to wait and see when I get my device!
I don’t agree with the statement that maps and music player apps aren’t useful at all in their current state. When I needed to look up if I had a certain store nearby I could do that with the built-in maps app and I could see where the store was located. If I wanted to go there I could easily have done that by following the map. Maybe it’s an age thing? Being born in the early 80s I remember relying on paper maps. Or maybe the usefulness of the maps depends on whether you walk or go by car? I mostly walk and use public transportation and then the app in its current form still is useful. If I were to rely on it going by car, I wouldn’t be able to do that without turn-by-turn directions.
The music player in its current state reminds me of my favorite mp3-player the iPod shuffle. I couldn’t have playlists there either. I just added the music I wanted to listen to and then listened to whatever came up. I agree that adding playlists/folders and turn-by-directions to the Kompakts app would make them better, but the app in its current form still is useful to me, and I prefer them right now as they are compared to not having them at all.
I was thinking this exact thing! I am actually looking forward to just basic maps and memorizing your route before you leave.
I agree with pugly regarding maps, particularly for on foot use case. Because maps without navigation are… still maps. (And I was not even born in the 80s or earlier.) I actually dislike turn by turn navigation when on foot because it I prefer to stay in charge while navigating. Building and showing a route is a different topic, it can be useful for sure, but not having it still doesn’t make maps useless, just less interactive than one used to.
We gathered quite a lot of feedback with Pure, that any maps, even without turn by turn navigations will be a night and day difference in comparison with no maps at all. That was a base our decision to add maps without turn by turn.
I hope that it explains the reasoning.

As somebody who was once lost while doing a hike in Austria and the smartphones that we got with us pretty much went out of signal. I prayed for offline maps. I guess with the kompakt and the downloaded maps on the device this problem would not repeat it self.
Non the less, I also would prefer the option for a navigation feature.
We do prefer… as well.
That is true!
At least with the map app you can figure out where you are and where you need to go, better than nothing!
But, please give us turn by turn lol
its literally better for you. GPS reliance (a real thing) has as i understand been shown to show an actual decrease in gray matter in the brain as you offload most of your thinking around spacial awareness and reasoning
