I have heard this complaint about the speaker from many people and I am not worried because I use a light phone 2 and there is no way the Kompakt speaker can be as average as the LP2s, and that average speaker is fine for me. The slow texting does concern me but again texting on the light phone 2 is slow too, teaches me patience, I don’t think text speed is that important, what text can be so important that we have to send it so fast, if its an emergency pick up the phone. I think this phone will be right for others and wrong for SO MANY, and those people can try it, return it and move on

Yeah I don’t get the statement that it is advertised as a finished product, if you are on these forums you know this is not a finished product and will be updated as time goes on. People that lack patience won’t stick around for that and that is fine, I don’t think that phone is going to fit people that have to wait for things.

I only have this weekend to decide and honestly can understand people that are hesitant or even unsatisfied with the kompakt.

The voice notation is not up to par, but it gives me strange old school vibes

The reader is fine (reading an ebook on it) but needs more settings for say contrast.

The Battery is amazing (without side loading) I could hardly believe that a phone is capable of such an immense battery life. (but also it is not doing that much anyways)

The Screen is okay and I love playing chess on it. (E-Ink is my vibe nowadays)

The speaker is not the best while playing music without headphones or bluetooth boxes. (my iPhone 8 speaker is definitely better but it is from a mega corp called APPLE)

The camera is fine and useable but I would like to have more features (taking video, or qr-code scanner integrated*) *I know needs a browser for it…yadayada

The calling was just as good as with my iPhone 8 (means great)

The unlocking sensor on the right is way too sensitive and kinda unreliable if not clicked with the right intentions (and even then sometimes has a life on its own)

The music player…lets keep it simple I will listen to the songs provided on the phone until an update makes it worth to put your own music on) But there are really good!

The map needs a way to navigate you from your current standpoint to your desired destination (no, wait it has to be on earth and reachable

That brings me to final thing…the software
This I have my hopes very hight that muditia will improve over time for sure! That curiosity really helps me to stay with the device…
BUT there must be a clear plan on which updates does what / when and this must be as transparent as it gets. ← a must in this day and age.
I see it more as boon than a bane that mudita is a smaller company. THEY LISTEN! So talk to them <3 (In a nice kinda way, please!)

Nice, yeah I do like the idea of staying with a device and seeing it improve and grow, when do we ever have the opportunity to do that in a society that wants thing right here right now with no waiting. I look forward to using my Kompakt when it gets here knowing full well it will not be perfect, things won’t work etc but stick with it and watch the device grow. Look at the light phone 2 @Jose_Briones used that phone for like 5 years from day 1, and was patient with the light team and he loved that device and since moved onto the LP3 (big mistake…jj. jose 
)

Im sorry but im paying for a product that is as advertised, this is not as advertised
And yeah i dont have time to wait, my previous phone was dying and i have to swap to a new phone now, not in a year.

Calendar and Direction tools are softwares. Mudita team have plans to support that. The Mudita Pure had the HW problems of Low SAR antenna and very poor-quality Speaker which can’t be fixed through software upgrades. So, I feel they abandoned Pure. But Kompakt, there are no HW issues (from the real user reviews).

Yeah Pure 100 percent has been abandoned lol, which will always make me sad, if it had worked I honestly would have kept it even after getting the Kompakt, would have been nice to switch sims into the pure on those days where I really want to focus

they did push changes to the code in January, not sure if that counts as abandoned or not? maybe they should have a page which lists what if any devices they arent supporting anymore

There is no need for such behaviour here, everyone knows the truth, there are plenty of threads where people describe their version of it. But it depends on each individuals, their previous phones (which they compare to) and how well it fits in their lifestyle or how much are they willing to fit it in. It might not fit yours as the phone is at the moment. I don’t think Mudita has overadvertised compared to what they delivered. But yes, as you said it there are still functions which are not up to the promises, and some of us have the time and patience to wait for those updates.
There’s no need to call out people for hiding the truth…I think @minimalist4life is one of the great backers of the project, but just as much a critical voice here in order to help the team.

Regardless, I stand by my opinion and please don’t take it personally, it is more of a general statement triggered by the discussion between the two of you.
There is such a great community and atmosphere here and I just didn’t like the tone that was hit there.

Appreciate the kind works! I never took offense to it look I think we all are excited about this device and we want it to fit our needs, its not going to fit everyones needs and thats okay, thats why we have the 14 day window, use the phone , if you don’t like it, move on, that was my point, if you don’t like the device move on to something better suited to your needs

The minimalist phone journey is a tough one I have literally used every one on the market and they all frustrated me lol, The Mudita Pure being number one on that list
