From my understanding, Android natively allows sending a text message to an email address simply by inputting an email into the recipient field of a text message. Is this possible with the Mudita OS? It would be really helpful to be able to forward links that I receive to my email address or pass a link from my laptop to my phone to be able to share via text.

As far as I’m aware this is only possible with the native Google Messages app, which is isn’t present due to the lack of Google Services on your Mudita Kompakt. If you wish to e-mail from Kompakt you need to sideload an E-Ink friendly mail client, like Thunderbird for example. You can configure it to never automatically receive messages if you want and use it only for sending or forwarding. I’m not aware of any plans to integrate sending mail as a default option in Mudita OS.

As @Marco has stated, this is not possible in the Mudita Kompakt native SMS app, but I’m curious if there are third party apps out there that can do this.
