Searching contacts in phone app does not work

Just got my new Mudita Kompakt this weekend. I was able to upload my contacts to the phone. I did this by exporting my iPhone contacts as a *.vcf file, then importing them to the Kompakt through the Mudita Center. When I make a phone call, rather than scroll through the long list of contacts, I would like to search by name. When I click on the magnifying glass at the top of the screen, the Kompakt returns to the home screen with a message “Phone App has stopped working”. If I go back and try again, I still get kicked back to the home screen, only without the error message. I assume there must be a way to make this work. Any suggestions?

OK, this problem has gone away. I was prompted to make an OS update immediately when I turned the Kompakt on for the first time. However, after my post I was prompted again to update to MuditaOS K 1.2.0, and it seems that fixed the problem. By the time I could start writing this reply, I was prompted once more to update, this time to 1.3.0. Is this how it’s supposed to work, or can I simply update to the latest OS version somehow?

There’s a known problem with contact search :

Thanks for the replies, all. My problem was that searching for contacts didn’t work at all (clicking on the search icon would cause the app to crash). It is working fine now: as far as I can tell, all I had to do was update to Mudita OS K 1.2.0. I have now upgraded to 1.5.0, though I had to do so one version at a time.

This is what I recommend, portable, never crashes, easy to search and update, your personal info is safe offline, ultimate privacy…

Yes, as of now, it has to be done one update at a time, but our team is aware of this issue and they are looking into improvements.
