Mudita, just to be clear I am not trying to stir the pot or anything. That is not my MO. I am just letting people know of this hassle.
But where did you heared that they provide return shipping?
I figure it costs Mudita a fraction of what I was quoted for return shipping. If they could provide me with a shipping label to get it back to them, then they could just deduct whatever it cost them to produce that for me from the ultimate refund. But I donât know if that is a possibility.
@anon80904485 Try parcel monkey, my friend. At least youâll be sure to have the lowest price . Found an option under 30$ for a parcel from US to Poland
Hope that helps
My thoughts exactly. They would also already know which carriers have restrictions for what can be sent and how. I gave this a try because of the promise of a refund, but my device does not work and now Iâm not even sure if the USPS will refund me if they decide not to ship it after all.
The 14 day trial period was exactly why I took a chance on it. Not realizing it was going to cost me a third of the price of the phones to ship it back. Although, Mudita would have had no idea that it would be this much for customers in the U.S. to return, because of the regulations regarding lithium batteries. I sent a support ticket hoping I can work something out with them before my 14 days are up.
Found shipping for 28$ to return it from Chicago,US to Poland. And I did declare that it was a phone and there is no problem with the battery whatsoever ! So just to reassure you, it wonât cost you a third to return it. You just got to shop your shipping label correctly.
@gabriel_lafr I understand that Parcel Monkey provides some lower parcel couriers, but the reviews online regarding the site are just not that great. It seems to work well when it does, and when it doesnât, it goes horrible wrong. I am concerned about the money it would cost me to ship, but I also want Mudita to receive their phones back without damage or hassle. I donât feel confident enough in some of the courier options listed despite them costing less. Thank you for the suggestion though!
I live in Poland. On December, I bought CAT S22 from American Amazon. I took the risk because I knew that sending it back will cost probably the same amount I paid for the device. For those who want to return Mudita Kompakt from USA back to Poland - maybe it will be better for you if you try to sell it in your country? I know it takes more effort to find a buyer but maybe it will save your money. Additionally, there are some customs fees when it comes to shipping phones between our countries.,
@anon80904485
USPS is indeed a no go. They cannot ship anything that has a lithium battery internationally, unfortunately.
@anon80904485 I totally understand. Please try FedEx- it might work out.
This and the battery thing seem like a US office might become a necessity in long term. It should be easier for a company to expense a batch shipment of a dozen of returned phones rather than a dozen individuals ordering it directly to Poland on each oneâs own.
@artemys18 yes indeed I havenât researched it fully.
You may also just unse Parcel Monkey to get yourself a discounted price on Fedex ou UPS labels like shown in the following screenshots.
Iâm at $70 with FedEx and $53 with UPS
Yeah I would suggest posting it on reddit, you will find buyers
How is the company not providing any guidance or help on this? I followed this campaign since Kickstarter and it always guarantee returns, but youâre making it prohibitively impossible and just not helping. Itâs so disappointing
@romerokcmo I reached out to our customer service department about this & they will get in touch with you and provide some resources so you can get this phone back to us. My apologies for all the hurdles, but weâll do what we can to help. If USPS does not take your phone- then they will offer some other options.
Could I also get some resources or information on how best to ship it back? It would be great if you could provide a label that we could use and just deduct that from the device amount (assuming it is in the $20 range that you charge). I looked it up and see the same issues. Will attempt at USPS to see if they will let me tomorrow.
@al16000 Please email our customer service department. The will be able to give you more info. support@Mudita.com
Shipstation quoted me $40 to ship back to Poland. I think I will just resell the Kompakt instead of returning it and waiting for a refund.
I just received notification that my phone is being returned to me by USPS, but I donât know yet which customs office sent it back. Either way I WASTED $84 TRYING TO SEND BACK A DEFECTIVE DEVICE, AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT WILL NOT PROVIDE ANY GUIDANCE ON HOW TO RETURN IT, AND REFUSES TO PROVIDE POSTAGE. I canât really afford to just light $500 on fire like this and I donât want to sell a device to someone that I know to be defective. Anyone have any luck getting this guaranteed return back to Mudita??
