Offline+ Switch Troubles - Disappointed in handling of warranty case

I must say I’m quite disappointed in the way Mudita handles my warranty case. Made a ticket 15 days ago because on one (out of three) of my Mudita Kompakts the Offline+ Switch is faulty. Still no contact with the external repair partner, despite several times contact with Mudita Support.

When pushed upwards - so Offline+ is disabled - I often (but not continuously) experience the phone keeps automatically switching on and offline spontaneously, which can be felt by the short vibration. The button is as far up as it goes. Due to physical disabilities (I’m wheelchair bound and have the phone continously with me ICE), with a cord around my neck or in one of my coat or shirts pockets (in an original case, and in the white supplied pouch it came in) so it’s basically impossible to move the switch, yet it spontaneously changes from Offline+ to online at a rapid pace, rendering the phone useless. I can’t put my finger on the cause, sometimes it happens multiple times a day (I can feel the vibrations and when taking out of it’s pouch, it show’s the Connected/Offline+ popup changing continously), spmeyimes multiple times a day and sometimes it doesn’t happen for days. The only way to stop it, it to lock it when it’s unlocked or unlock it, when the phone is locked. I’ve cleaned the space around the switch with a tooth pick and a 70% alcohol wipe, but to no avail. Rebooting doesn’t dolve the issue, it returns rather quickly.

Anyone else experienced this and maybe found a solution? Running MuditaOS K 1.4.0 and phone has been rebooted repeatedly. I contacted our national authorized reseller for the Benelux, but they’re unable to help me as I bought all the ‘hardware’ (3 Mudita Kompakts and a Mudita Harmony and some accessories directly from Mudita in Poland, not even knowing we had an authorized reseller in The Netherlands) and have only bought some (other) screen protectors (of which the shipped the wrong ones, which I reported, but I’ve never heard from them again) and some other case here in The Netherlands to complete my collection of all calls. I’ve spend a lot of money, why am I 15 days later still waiting for a repair service (yes, Mudita has decided to repair the button, which might cost me another screen protector when it gets send back) instead of exchanging it. This was honestly not what I was hoping for.

Curious to hear your experiences, or maybe it’s just my bad luck.

Happens to me from time to time. Never crossed my mind it might be a faulty switch. For me, it happens usually when I accidentally touch the switch while handling the phone. I didn’t push it downwards, but sometimes it just starts cycling Offline+ on/off like crazy. My soltution is to purposfully activate (move the switch downwards) and then deactivate the feature and it stops.

exactly the same for me. Though it doesnt always work in one try to actively deactivate/activate. Its honestly kind of annoying and I always wondered if its a faulty part or just a bug of the phone. Also in those cases while the switch is up it sometimes shows its in offline mode, but bluetooth still works

@Marco I am so sorry for this delay. I know that our customer service personnel have reached out to you today about this, but I’ve also followed up to see if we can do anything to make this move along faster.
Thank you for your patience. I’m doing what I can to get this resolved.
