Notifcations on mudita kompakt

I am a bit puzzled about the notification behavior of the mudita kompakt.
I installed beeper to bundle my chat clients.

I want my mudita to only vibrate if I get a notification. Is this possible at the moment?
I am aware that there is no notification on the screen(I have Niagara Launcher for that) but at least I want to get a vibration if there is something coming in.

Edit: When I open the Beeper app I get the vibration. Looks like the app is not running in background.

Just use the searcher, it was answered many times

ok cool. Thanks for your Feedback.I did not found it. If it so easy would be great if you can send it to me. A lot of stuff but did not found a way to enable the app to run in background.

I found this thread:

But no real documented solutions

I couldn’t get beeper notifications to work either. I believe beeper’s notifications run through google services, and the Mudita Kompakt is completely degoogled. For comparison, I’ve found Whatsapp notifications work as they don’t seem to need Google.

Too bad I thought I could save the hassle of moving the apps and use beeper. But then I migrate Signal to the kompakt. Whatsapp notification where muted anyway.

I also use Beeper and am experiencing the same issue (no notifications except when opening the app).

I haven’t seen any solutions yet; I tried adb shell dumpsys deviceidle whitelist +com.beeper.androidand restarted the phone, but no dice.

UPDATE: I was able to install MicroG (a Google Play Services substitute), and it’s working now!

It also allows Kindle to work, which wasn’t working before.

It can be installed from here: Release v0.3.7.250932 · microg/GmsCore · GitHub

@chanmander can you confirm this is still working for you? I was not able to get this to work myself.

Which version of MicroG did you install?

OK, so I thought this was working, but then I had to factory reset and I wasn’t able to get push notifications or Kindle working again after re-installing microG.

Sorry, I guess it’s back to the drawing board for now. Gonna hold out for an official Mudita or Beeper solution.
