No mic with headphones on the kompakt

Hello,
I’ve just realized that, when I plug my headphones in the jack, I don’t have any mic on the Kompakt. No way to talk or to record my voice.

I’ve tested my headphones on my computer and it works fine so the issue must come from the kompakt.

Anyone to confirm that microphone from the plugged headset works at all for them?

You are not alone. It works with some headphones and doesn’t work with others. Super annoying. I’ve posted about it awhile ago here:

Never got any answer from Mudita team regarding this issue unfortunately.

And no, there is nothing special about either of the headphones I tested with, both are widely popular models of a well known brands neither of which ever faild to work with any other device I used it with

My headset is a Bose QC 35 II.
I wonder if the problem could come from the fact that the headphones is both for stereo listening and for calling. I know that, with bluetooth, it could be a problem depending on the codec used by the phone (but I don’t want to use BT).

The mystery thickens : I’ve recorder 6 audio with my headphone to test (unplugging each tiime) and 2 of them were fine while 4 were blank.
I’m unsure if the recording happened through the headphone or the internal mic but one thing is sure: there’s clearly a problem on Mudita side there.

I’ve passed on this feedback to our team. I know they have been testing different headphones & they are investigating as to why this is happening with some headphones and not others.
