Music stops on sideloaded players

So, I’m experiencing problems with my sideloaded music players stopping playback even after enabling them in the duraspeed settings solution I found in the forum. The basic music app is good but song order is alphabetical so I don’t like using it. I use Foobar2000 for mp3. I didn’t have any problems with Foobar2000 until a while ago when the sound started cutting every time. Installed Tidal and had the same thing. Then read here on the forum about duraspeed settings, and enabled background processes for these apps, but still encountering these problems:

  • Tidal becomes unresponsive to volume buttons, and music widget disappears on inkos after a few minutes.

  • Foobar still cuts off after a few minutes of listening

Any help would be greatly appreciated as music is one of my main uses for the device.

@Blackzappa Can I ask what MuditaOS K your Kompakt is on?
As you know, Mudita can’t always control the quirky behavior that happens with some by sideloaded apps.
However, others have reported that they have been able to get Music & Podcasts to work despite some complications at first.

Duraspeed could be the answer, but it could be other apps that might be interfereing.
What apps do you have sideloaded? List all of them.

thanks for your response! I have exactly the problem as described in your referenced post. I have been on 1.5 since I bought it I think.

I only have these sideloaded apps: Fdroid & Aurora store APKs with Signal, Tidal, Foobar2000 downloaded through the stores

@Blackzappa Have you tried CalmMusic?

It’s an app that was made specifically for Mudita Kompakt & it would be curious if you experience similar disruption. It already has been optimized to avoid this type of disruption.
