If it makes you feel any better I also receive near daily spam SMS - InkMessage provides better options for silencing unwanted notifications but I like the stock SMS app too much. Looking forward to Mudita providing a toggle to silence texts from unknown numbers!

I also really prefer the stock SMS to inkmessage despite some of the nice features it lacks. InkMessage feels a bit sluggish and a bit harder to visually parse, comparatively.

I feel so much better now, almost as if I had won the lottery! 
No seriously, daily spam is a pain in the butt. Try Spam Blocker, set it to block calls and SMS, activate all the filters you need (contacts, stir etc.) but also set the notifications to minimal, maybe then it will be better. For me it kinda works this way, but things are still upside down. I donât understand why itâs so hard for devs to compare incoming numbers to contacts.

Also having this issue with the phone app and the indication â7â even though I do not have any recently missed calls. If I miss a call, the number shown changes to â8â, after opening the phone app and checking the missed calls, indication changes back to â 7â.
It would be great to get a hint how to solve it (apart from resetting the whole phone). Thank you!

Is this happening with the new update? 1.6? Or are you still on 1.5.0?
Iâm sorry, I am still on 1.5. Iâm waiting for hotfixes to be implemented before updating!

This is clearly a reason for a hotfix (1.6.1.) within 3 days and shouldnât be too hard to do. However, Mudita has never released a hotfix before 
People will have to wait another 3-6 months for this problem to be solved.

Lots of different use cases. Here are some of them:.
Scenario 1: Two people are taking the train into town to watch a movie.
Person 1: âOh my, Iâm not sure if weâll get there in time⌠could you just check how long it will take to walk from the train station to the movie theatre?â
Person 2: âNope, no can do! My maps app wonât allow me to set any other location than where I am at any given momentâ
Scenario 2: A group of friends are in the university cafeteria trying to figure out when to go to the beach the day after.
Person 1: "Hey, can yâall come by my house at 7 and then weâll walk together from there?
Person 2: âaghh⌠I have no way of knowing, I have work until 6:30, and I donât know how long it will take to get to your placeâ
Person 3: âjust check your maps app?â
Person 2: âhnnngggg, I canât, I need to be physically located at the starting point of my route⌠canât I borrow your phone for a sec?â
Person 3: "sure, okay⌠and maybe download a better app next time?
Scenario 3: Two people are on a bike trip and there is road work blocking their planned route.
Person 1: âHm, if we ride back a couple of kilometers and then take the left turn to place X, and then go from X to our destination, would that be faster than going from here straight to place Y and then from there to our destination?â
Person 2: âThat might be, but I can only see how long it would take to go from here to the destination, not how long it would take to go from a couple of kilometers back, though X and to the destination.â
Person 1: âAh, okay, thatâs a bit strange.â

@mamue Did you notice that this was happening after you updated to the new update, MuditaOS K 1.6 or did this happen in MuditaOS K 1.5.0 as well?
Person 4: Have you tried checking maps.google.com in your sideloaded browser?
Make no mistake, itâd be a nice feature in the Mudita Maps app, but there are ways to answer the question using just the MK. This was my first time opening Google Maps in the browser on the Kompakt and I was actually shocked at how well it worked.
Edit: Irrespective of Liverpool being a terrible beach destination. 
Just the first destinations that popped into my head.

Yeah yeah, thatâs true, but if using google maps or a browser was on the table in the first place, then one could just sideload google maps. However, this doesnât negate the point that itâs a fairly essential feature in a maps app, and that to me, seamless use of the native app is preferable to using subpar sideloaded apps.
Just as an aside, these scenarios also highlight the social pressure that one may encounter when trying to degoogle or avoid becoming churned to flour in the technofeudal mill. Very few people have the balls to answer the question âhave you tried checking maps.google.com in your sideloaded browser?â with âno, because I donât want to support google or be subject to trackersâplease let me borrow your phone?â. This is why itâs important for privacy-friendly apps to also be somewhat functional; it relieves the pressure to choose worse options in a pinch.
Anyhow, itâs nice to know that Gmaps works so well in your browser, in case the pinch is bad enough.

Yes, it appeared directly after I had updated to 1.6.0 and never happened before. So I assume it is related to the latest update, as other users also reported.

I think my actual response in such a social situation would be âdo we really need to know the trip times right at this moment?â The answer is usually no. I find that works better than explaining why I canât readily produce that info (degoogled phone, privacy, etc. etc.). With all this said, Iâd very much appreciate enhancements to Mudita Maps including the ability to edit the starting location, though it isnât at the top of my MK wishlist.
