Indeed reading through this list, I am not at all disappointed that I haven’t got the update pushed to my Kompakt yet.. I will probably elect to pass this version by and not install it.

Many of the features appear to be in response to incessant complaints on this forum. The only thing I would like to see Mudita add is method to view and close open apps.

Once again, none of the long-standing bugs have been fixed, such as the sound issue when Offline+ mode is enabled, or the problem where an empty SD card is suddenly displayed. And it seems the music player still can’t play albums in the correct track order. It’s very disappointing once again.

yes, i have this too since the update to 1.6. i’m not able to clear it in any way. I hope there’s a quick solution!

Actually, Urszula said 19 days ago that Kompakts ordered after the release of MuditaOS K 1.6.0 would come with 1.5.0 or 1.6.0 already installed, so Mudita can pull that off.

Let me clarify this, because I don’t want new users to misunderstand anything. While our team is doing their best to make sure phones are updated, it’s not guaranteed that you will get an updated phone. Chances exist that you will get a phone which will need to be updated.

Just to say that I’ve managed to make “Yet Another Call Blocker” works flawlessly on my Kompakt

“Yet Another Call Blocker” doesn’t work with SMS at all, plus it’s one of these apps that never get updated.

I’ve been using the F-Droid Spam Blocker, and the latest versions worked somewhat well, but strangely it labels contacts as “non-contacts”, while still letting them through, so this app also still needs some work.

If any of you are having trouble changing keyboards, for example because the “Keyboard Settings” button bypasses the mudita keyboard settings, instead taking you right into the sideloaded keyboard settings, then you could try searching for “keyboard” in the developer options. I managed to change to the native keyboard by first clicking “+ installed keyboards” in DevOps and fiddling around inside the menu I was taken to.

Now the Maps app mainly needs the option to set a starting position other than current position in order to be practically usable. This is the sole reason why I don’t use that app at all; it shouldn’t really be surprising how often it is necessary to choose a starting point.

What’s the main use case for setting a different starting location than where you are? Trip planning?

Yesterday, the maps would not update my current location. Quitting the application didn’t seem to refresh. I was not able to manually tell it my origin as a failover.

And also yes, trip planning is indeed a core function of a modern map/nav application

I totally agree. They also use a REAL dumbphone which has a working spam blocker No Android-based phone can ever be “mindful”, because it’s a constant hassle.
