I find the stock weather app on MK to very inaccurate. So, now I must spend time finding a solution to this. (Grr.)

@urszula, question: is the weather app bug that I disscussed 1 hour ago reported by the kompakt? Should I get a notification when a bug is reported?

I just tried to recreate this & I was able to scroll all the way to Aug of last year without any issue. Is this happening in the stock Mudita SMS app, or another messenger app?
Would it be possible if you could provide a video as to what is happening? Also, are you updated to 1.5.0?

Hi, a big thank you for the update. The keyboard helps immensely. A few suggestions:

  • Add more timeline choices in the calendar for alarm reminders (5 minutes ahead is too short, and a second alarm reminder might be useful too).
  • Please consider, if technically possible of course, add a voice speech texting option.
  • Allow the possibility to remove completely apps side downloaded but still present in the “manage applications” menu.
  • If possible, allow to rename applications.

If you don’t mind sideloading the Katapult launcher, you can do these things and more by long-pressing any app icon.

I am still using FUTO keyboard for speech-to-text. Why people want to hand-jam tiny messages on an small eInk screen… I don’t know, but to each their own. If Mudita adds an option to dictate messages then, yes, there’s no need for a 3rd party keyboard.

Hey, long time no see!

I like the new keyboard, made me desideload FUTO, just one suggestion - when I use Polish for instance, typically phones show the most popular local character when long-press. So if I long-press ‘o’, I get ‘ó’ without much thinking. Here though, I get ‘9’. I keep falling for this lol. Maybe it could be set differently, or allow to keep numbers above QWERTY, or get numbers out of QWERTY as they are still available after pressing ‘?123’?

Secondly, might have been discussed but let me bump it then - Weather keeps losing weather data and I have to open it to make it pull it again. The problem repeats after few hours when I check it again. A-GPS enabled/disabled - no difference.

Oh, and I am happy to see the improved voice recorder.

After using it for a few days, I’ve noticed that the weather app often shows that it has no weather data. You then have to open it and manually reload the data. It’s extremely annoying. The app was one of the few that worked great right from the start and actually showed the weather very accurately for me. I hope this gets fixed quickly between two “major updates.”

+1 for the Weather Data problem, be great if that could be made to work again.

Love the new update though, aside from that weather problem, its working great!

I recently tried to switch to a shiny Android, and within a week ditched it, it’s just the opposite of calm :slight_smile: The Mudita is now my main phone, and I appreciate all the work that goes into this.

Tried to upload a video but it says ‘new users can not upload attachments’. Are you able to allow me?

Yes, it’s in the default SMS app and yes I am updated fully.

I don’t play music on the Kompakt, most users seem to be unhappy with the stock player, just curious if anyone found a foss player or something on Aurora store that works better

I copied a music file into the music folder and tried the music app.
It works.

@sundancermartin For long form articles & audiobooks I use Simple Audiobook Player- it’s actually monochrome, so works great on Kompakt.

The built in keyboard is now very fast and accurate. I deleted the Gboard app that was sideloaded before 1.5.0.

A few of issues I’ve noticed that didn’t happen to me before–

  1. Some texts were received hours later
  2. I typed out responses to texts and clicked send…. but they disappeared…. I figured they did not get sent so I retyped and resent
  3. Occasionally when I go into a text thread, the cursor is gone and can’t just text….stopping and restarting have solved this

Hi! I love this update, except for one thing - group SMS has stopped working. I can see the “failed to download” message in my chats with individual people, but they will not download when I tap to try again. Each message I send in a group chat fails to send.

I was able to download some group messages after restarting my phone, but nothing is coming through without manually downloading, and some messages fail to download even when I try manually.

I tried restarting and switching Offline+ on and off, but nothing has fixed it so far. Any tips? Thank you!!
