Mudita Kompakt in the Press :) ZDNET

Just came across this great read and had to share it with the community:

It’s always exciting to see more people embracing E Ink and experiencing the benefits of simpler, less stimulating tech.

I believe that the reviewer missed the value of the camera:

Speaking of the camera, it feels like an unnecessary element. It is an 8MP camera with photos that look like they were taken over ten years ago.

As you have noted, @urszula, the camera is handy for capturing photos of receipts, transportation QR codes, signs, “where I parked my car”, etc.

Yup to me this camera is for utility purposes not to take high quality photos, I love that I can take pics of QR codes or download them to the phone, that really is convenient, plus just being able to see pics people send me

For me a camera is indispensable. I am not expecting to “wow” people with my photos on social media - but I do want to snap photos to remember things . I’m sure it’ll be perfect for that!

@kirkmahoneyphd I took pictures when I was in Rome, Athens & London. There are quite cute shots.

Any chance you can link them here?

I think it might be a matter of how well camera handles indoors and low UV/daytime light. Not a big deal to me but if I’d really want to take a souvenir photo, I’d pay attention to light.

@james I’ll start a separate thread with it.
That way, they are all in one place

Have you tried any QR codes via camera ~> messages ? I fly often and I was thinking I might just need to bring along my work phone for QR’s but if I could successfully board a plane with the Mudita that would rock.

Agreed! That would be awesome!
