Traveling with Mudita Kompakt- Boarding Passes, Pix & Maps

So, I’m in Greece right now with my Mudita Kompakt. I used it at the airport to board the plane. Boarding card worked just fine, All I did was check in online & upload the PDF to Mudita Kompakt. Absolutely zero issues. You can also send yourself a screenshot as a text message or via WhatsApp- if you use a tablet or an iPad- that works as well. I tried it.

Using in bright sunlight was such a dream. No issues with visibility.

Network coverage in Athens, Greece is just fine- full coverage.
I’m here for a few days, so I’ll come back with more updates.

This is AWESOME, so convenient and useful, the Kompakt is going to be my TOOL, not my distraction, just love it, I was just picking my son up from camp and I had to print out the code, all these parents were looking at me shocked, you have to imagine a big printed out QR code on full size paper :joy:

Not anymore though!, love that I can just take a picture of any QR code now, especially for the movies with no issues

Why didn’t I just preorder the european version of the phone and move to Europe so I could have this phone next month! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

@minimalist4life We had tickets for the Acropolis & I had those tickets on my Mudita Kompakt with the QR CODE. No issue. Just uploaded the ticked to Mudita Kompakt & off we went.
You can also take a screenshot send yourself an image (from a tablet or iPad) it works too.

Update on usage & battery life:
After 5 days of use, this is the battery level (Last time the battery was charged was Wednesday night (March 5th).

Tickets with QR code worked. Boarding passes worked. No issues with using my PL sim card for roaming in Greece. I bought a Greek pre-paid sim card from NOVA- work like a charm.
Maps worked.

If you have any other questions I might have not covered, let me know. I’ll do my best to answer.

Thats awesome!
It must be so amazing to be able to use the tools you need on a phone but still have it free from doom scrolling

Has anyone asked you about your phone? Like hey what is that!?!? lol

This is awesome, honestly the biggest annoyance with the Light phone 2 and even the Sunbeam was the battery life, the fact that I can fully charge my kompakt and leave on a trip and not have to worry about constantly having to charge it is a huge weight off the shoulders.

Not sure you have got many phone calls because you are on vacation but out and about are you able to hear the ringtone and vibration in your pocket? Another issue I have with the LP2 and the Pure when I used it was just missing calls because the speaker is so tiny

People asked about it. I let one guy at the airport touch it & play with it & he ordered it right then & there.

@urszula just out of curiosity: how often were you opening and closing WhatsApp or any other sideloaded apps during the last five days?

Not much. Maybe like max 5-10 times per day. That’s just me texting people back that I’m in Athens on a trip with my mom & aunt and that I will get back to them in the evening. I only used Whatsapp, the eReader, Maps, calculator
