The e-reader is a really nice touch! I need to see more though to cancel my LP3 pre-order.

I have to say my gut is telling me the more and more you guys release info on the Kompakt the closer I will come to cancelling my LP3 order. I sold my LP2 yesterday at a very good price $250 american , I loved using it but wanted to get some money back on it before the Kompakt or LP3 come out as I am going to be purchasing one of those as my daily driver. Right now I am back on my Cat S22 flip. It does the job I have owned it long enough and although technically a smartphone I have everything disabled browser, you tube and thanks to my dumb phone use I have never to this day ever watched you tube on that phone and never will. It really feels like you are carrying around a dumbphone and its so cumbersome to use you don’t use it often so it will do me well as I wait for the kompakt and lp3.

As long as the kompakt does not have a browser on it I am in. Knowing you guys I am pretty sure it will not and any apps that are on the phone I know won’t be from the google play store my guess is you guys will have your own appstore with only useful non-addictive apps on it such as a meditation apps, music, weather. To me if it has all of the above I am sold and will choose this phone over the LP3

Nice one, the eReader is a great touch - it noticed there is a little pen tool there - I wonder if it is capable of making notes or highlighting sections of text?

I do just have a question about the 4G network coverage in Australia though - will it support 4G VOLTE in Australia?

@anon52747040 wait until you see the actual videos of the e-ink. It’s so cool

@galtions Mudita Kompakt will not have the same network limitations as Mudita Pure.

This is exactly what I am waiting for. How smoothly the display scrolls cannot be described by a picture or the specifications.

If you could disable the browser on your current phone, you could do the same on the Kompakt.

Yes I am very excited to see this!

Yeah but I rather have it not be an option. I want a phone that doesn’t even give you that option. I am only using the Cat S22 flip now because I had to sell my Light phone 2 . I prefer a true dumb phone so I am hoping and I am guessing that the Kompakt will not have a browser on it. I feel like that would be against Mudita’s philosophy

If it were against their philosophy, they would have focused only on Pure 2 instead of coming up with the Kompakt. A truly minimalist phone does not need a touchscreen.

I‘m wondering if the Kompakt has support for RCS messaging. I could see a tick next to the timestamp under the message.

Hopefully it does have RCS mesaging :crossed_fingers:

I wonder if that means messages could be end to end encrypted too? I really hope so! :crossed_fingers:

It appears Google is doing it with their RCS implementation but I have no idea how or if that would work on Mudita phones.

End-to-end encryption is not included in the standard yet. Apple has said it will work with the GSMA to add it. It will be restricted to Android until then.

Thankyou for this information! I’m very much looking forward to the release of Kompakt now as it seems it will be a great device to meet my needs. And of course I’m a fan of Mudita

Now… I’ll just need to sort out a temporary phone with hotspot until Kompakt is available…

How “kompakt” is it, in terms of phone size? The smaller the better.

As @Jose_Briones noted earlier, it appears to have a display of around 4 inches.

The next sneak peek is out. It looks like the colour temperature of the flashlight can be changed.
