I’ve seen a few posts about MMS not working on the kompakt and with different networks. But, I have not come across one specifically with Mint mobile. I cannot for the life of me get MMS to work on this phone with Mint. I reached out to their support team, had them reset my network settings, tried troubleshooting with the other posts here, and attempted to change my APN settings (which it will not let me change that for some reason). So, I figured I’d try here to see if anyone else has had this problem but more importantly found a solution. Anyway, thanks!
RCS requires Google Play Services at the moment. Mudita does not have Google Play Services and as such is incompatible with RCS. I highly recommend you turn off RCS and deregister from it so that your friend’s phones can learn that you don’t have this service anymore. It takes about 1-2 weeks for the deregistration to take effect. Just FYI.
Thank you for the reply. I actually have my old phone and shut off RCS through that. So, just play the waiting game now. Hoping in at least 30 days it works.
I also use Mint Mobile and once RCS turned off I have had a mostly smooth texting experience. If it’s someone really important that I know I cannot miss a text from (like a partner) I ask them to download Signal and use that instead.
If you di-register from RCS then the issue should resolve itself.
