Hey everyone! This is my first post on the forum but I’ve been reading here since getting my Kompakt a couple of months back. Looking forward to spending time in this community!
I’ve been having a great experience with my Kompakt so far, but have one nagging issue with group texts. I can receive group texts just fine, but when I reply in the thread, my message sends individual texts to each member of the group, instead of responding within the thread. I’ve spent a few days on and off looking through the phone’s settings but have yet to find a solution. Anyway, here is what I have set up at the moment if it will be of use diagnostically.
Device Software: Mudita OS K 1.4.0
Carrier: AT&T
Location: US
SIM: Physical SIM, newly activated from AT&T store and only used in this phone after switching from an iPhone 13 Mini with eSim. iMessage was disabled before switching.
APN: ATT NXTGENPHONE
MMSC: http – mmsc - mobile - att - net
MMS proxy: proxy - mobile - att - net
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 280 (I saw somewhere online to change this to 410, but am unable to and don’t believe it is the problem).
APN type: default,mms,supl,hipri
APN protocol: IPv4
APN enabled
The above settings have not changed the issue; previously the SIM came loaded with the “ATT Enhancedphone” APN, meant for 5g-capable devices. I have only tried using the stock SMS app and do not have any other aftermarket communication apps loaded onto the phone.

Hey Urszula, thank you so much! I didn’t even know that I could access the SIM options through the SMS app; i was just looking in settings and couldn’t do anything from there. It’s fixed now! I really appreciate the help
I just received my phone yesterday, went into the AT&T store, activated the SIM, and loaded it into the phone. It is working for calls and can receive texts but it won’t send them. I don’t have all of the options inside of the SMS app that your photos show above. I can’t attach a photo because I’m a new user but when I go into my SIM settings, my only two options are download MMS content and allow MMS while roaming.. Please advise. Thank you!
This could be your APN settings. Check the APN settings for your network provider & then make sure they match what’s shown in the phone. These are mine- They will be completely different that what your phone should have, however, this is what they look like.
I found all the settings. I only have one APN listed, it says ATT Enhancedphone. When I click in to the APN settings for it, everything appears to be good.
I’m now able to send texts but unable to send photos and can’t find the group messaging option anywhere. Thoughts?
