Mint mobile (US) compatible?

Just curious if anyone in US is using Mint Mobile as their carrier with the Mudita Kompakt?

Welcome to the community!

Regarding the Mint Mobile question, I would imagine it should work since they piggyback off T-Mobile’s towers. A fellow Mint user, I’ve used with a number of different phones with the service. As long as the device is optimized for T-Mobile, you should be good but here are the bands that the Kompakt will be utilizing for us North American folks:

Network bands supported by the North American Mudita Kompakt:
*2G: 850/900/1900
*3G: B2/4/5/8
*4G LTE:
LTE-FDD: B2/4/5/7/8/12/13/17/18/19/25/26/66/71
LTE-TDD: B34/38/40/41

(The above bands may have changed since I last saw it, but these were what I saw a couple of weeks ago)

@Jose_Briones Have you tested Mint Mobile?

If the phone is NA optimized should it not work? I thought this stuff was tested by Mudita, we do not want another Pure situation lol

I can confirm that my Kompakt – received yesterday – works with Mint Mobile in the USA.

I sideloaded and used the LTE Discovery app to confirm that it was connecting to T-Mobile USA’s LTE band 12 (B12).

Both the North-American version and the Global version support band 12. Unfortunately, I am waiting for support@mudita.com to confirm that Mudita sent the Global version to me after I changed in March my Kickstarter order from the North-American version and in spite of the paperwork enclosed with my Kompakt, which referred to “NAM” – which looks like an abbreviation for North AMerica.

So you might have the NA version? I wish they accidentally shipped my NA to me with my case lol

Yes, I might have the NA version. Operating on LTE band 12 is insufficient to tell me which version I have.

@anon7028788 It should definitely work, the only thing I would look into is how GOOD the coverage is. @Jose_Briones tested Verizon, T-Mobile & AT&T and reported that it worked. Mint works on T-Mobile, so it should definitely be fine.

Should be fine. Mint doesn’t block compatible T-mobile devices.
