Workaround #3
I found another workaround to accidentally pocket-dialing one’s country’s emergency code:
- Go to Settings > Safety and Emergency > Emergency Call, change the Call in case of emergency default value (911 in my country) to anything else, and tap [Save].
Assuming for this example that you saved “1” as your new Call in case of emergency value, here is what you will get when the [Emergency] pushbutton accidentally gets tapped (e.g., through one’s pocket):
If the black disk containing the phone receiver at the bottom of that screen subsequently gets accidentally tapped, then you will get this:
Of course, this workaround is not ideal, as it means that nobody can use your locked Kompakt in an emergency to call your country’s emergency-services number. But, at least it protects fingerprint-unlock fans from accidentally pocket-dialing their emergency-services number until Mudita can address the “twitchiness” of the fingerprint sensor.
